I do not see a world where the Rock out of all people gets an Oscar nod. He is a good actor but more of a peoples choice award/kids choice award/mtv movie awards type. Plus….he basically does the same thing in all his movies.
Well, I wonder if he wouldn’t have earned a Supporting Actor nom for his hilarious turn in “Be Cool”, if the film would have been any good (what a disappointing sequel to the masterful “Get Shorty”). That’s the film that underlined he could have a film career.

He was great in Pain & Gain. He is great in Comedies and Dark Comedies like Pain & Gain

Maybe I am used to WWE overacting Rock since I watched from his begning basically, but I don’t see a difference between that and his movie acting tbh.
