MacMurray cpl- KQUE-FM Broadcasts Start Today A new FM radio station, KQUE, 102.9 on the FM dial, will begin broadcasting at 6 AM Tuesday, David H. Morris, gen eral manager of the station and KNUZ, anne meed Monday. The station will occupy studios in the KNUZ build ing at 4701 Caro line St. Its anten na Is on the Uni versity of H o u s- ton's TV antenna on Cullen Boule vard and is 595 feet above sea level. KQUE WILL broadcast music from 6 AM until midnight seven days a week, with newscasts at 8 AM, noon, 6 PM and 10 PM. Webb Hunt Is the program di rector and Forrest Patton the sales mnnager: Patton is also commercial manager of KNUZ. The on - the - air staff comprises Hunt, Bob Brock, Joe Walker, Felix Martin and Charles Mc Kay. The station’s opening broad cast, at 6 AM, will consist of tape-recorded messages by May or Lewis Cutrer; the Rev Wil liam A. Baine, pastor of the Bel* lalre Presbyterian Church and president of the Houston Coun cil of Churches; Dr Hyman Judah Schachtcl, rabbi of Con gregation Beth Israel, and the Rev George dl Prlmco, pastor of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church. Musl-King background music service, also affiliated with KT^UZ, will begin operations at the same time as KQUE. Caryl F. Beer is the manager of Musi- King.
