Zoom is one of best conference meeting software available in the industry. Zoom is still new for a lot of people but it has adapted the features which is needed to make a meeting best. One of best feature of Zoom is, it works great with Low internet bandwidth as well. I have not seen any issue even with low bandwidth. Zoom has great sound quality and a better video chat feature. Zoom gives ability for attendees to share their screen. With Zoom an Attendee can become organizer if the real organizer lose the Internet connection. It has lot of good features which makes Zoom outstanding product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There could be improvements mainly on the UI side. Sometimes its not very easy to find how to Mute others and the option for group Chat. The features exists but UI can be improved. Also If Zoom can add features to dial out phone numbers, that would be great help! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Video Call meetings, Making calls to the candidates, texting candidates, Getting the recordings of the meetings, Video Call interview with a Candidate, Mostly I use the Zoom app for Sourcing candidates and make calls and check with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We text to the candidate who do not pick the call, incase of sending any contact number or any kind of links it's not allowed to send any links or number through texts, if we do then the zoom blocks us from utilizing the text feature, recently been facing this issue in our organization Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Zoom workplace has made team collaborations so much easier with its meet scheduling, calendar integrations, easy to setup, and how much light weight it is on your machine. The fact that they have a well integrated mobile application and software application. I am a Mac user, so good news that they do have a perfectly built macos software as well. The worst thing about their UX is when you create a meeting, you have to go really deep into their UI to find the COPY URL button which you can share with people, whereas google meet, on the contrary, bring the URL right in front of you so you can copy and share with people. Zoom Workplace is very easy to use and has a very simple user interface. All the functionalities like virtual backgrounds, screen sharing, etc. work very smoothly and there is very little disturbance. Zoom offers a seamless integration with existing office tools, enhancing real-time collaboration with its intuitive interface. Its robust features support frequent use and ensure easy implementation across teams, fostering a connected and productive work environment, even remotely. Also, customer support is fast to respond at all times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a limit on the number of participants in both - the free as well as the paid version of the application. While it supports several features and low connectivity, it sometimes faces issues and the video lags or faces disturbances. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Zoom has just literally killed the old skype that many of us used to share information with our clients or screen shares and totally transformed the way we can do online business. It helps us to create a website and show the client in maybe another country how things work by sharing our screen and doing a run through. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its not the most secure platform, the free version time limit is way to low and should at least be a hour or more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Out of the many good and wide-ranging features and services, I would like to mention a few. The best meeting/conference experience, easy configuration and management, and integration with many other apps/services. Additionally, it now provides AI features that work great. There are not many things to dislike about Zoom. However, the recording of meetings on a local drive is not ideal, as it sometimes takes ages to convert the file even on high-spec devices, whereas the cloud recording works fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Meetings became a necessity during the pandemic - clients demanded it often, and we had to have a platform for audio and videoconferencing, and for media interviews. Zoom is just one of the easiest to use meeting and conferencing platform, while having affordable prices. Also, Zoom never failed us, while clients using Microsoft Teams often had call dropouts or disconnects when we attended, and many occasions we had to use our Zoom account as an alternative for our clients' meetings. For media interviews, we always depended on Zoom to record such interviews, and we could pass on the recordings to our journalist colleagues for their content consumption. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The latest AI summary is a great feature, but more is needed to have better content parity and accuracy with the actual meetings. I am sure this is one area Zoom will refine as it goes along. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's incredibly easy to manage the soft and hard phone systems. Managing licenses, phone numbers, extensions, user accounts--all of it. Implementation was a piece of cake, and for a mission, we receive hundreds of inbound and outbound calls a day. It's easy, comprehensive and one of the most financially competitive solutions out there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The userability and management still has a bit to go. Many older employees struggle in the beginning if they've been used to picking up a phone and are now dialing / answering through the computer. So far only trouble I've had with management is getting our hard phones to have the same hold music as the soft phones, but our tech support rep has been super responsive and consistent in answering us. Zoom integrates well with other productivity tools like Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Slack, and various learning management systems. This integration helps streamline workflows and improves efficiency.
Zoom can handle meetings ranging from small, one-on-one sessions to large webinars with thousands of participants. This scalability makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from personal use to large corporate events. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Despite improvements, Zoom has faced scrutiny over security issues, such as "Zoombombing" (unauthorized participants disrupting meetings), data encryption practices, and other vulnerabilities. Although measures have been taken to enhance security, concerns still exist.
Especially for our organization, we have found that zoominfo is capturing our data and using it on their site, this leads us to feel like our information is being sold by Zoom Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Zoom's ease of use shows why it is the leader in virtual conferencing applications. It's easily integratable with a wide variety of platforms and environments. The vast library of innovative apps that can be added to Zoom only makes it that much more appealing. I use Zoom frequently, nearly daily. In my organization it is the staple so provisioning users in Zoom works seamlessly with our identity provider ensuring easy implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't say that I really have a dislike or downside to Zoom. Its a great tool. It's very easy to use and deploy. The settings are easy to configure. I guess the only thing would be if I'm in a Zoom meeting on my desktop and choose to join from my cell phone, there are 2 entries thus throwing off the true number of meeting members. I love how user friendly it is, it is very easy to link Zoom with another app such as Google calendar. As a business, we also have a dedicated rep who we can contact for additional help or if there are technical issues. Following the last point, I've never encoutered any technical issues which I'm also very grateful for. We use Zoom every day for work and I use it at least four times a week. There are many features available, you can blurr your background or even change it, it's easy to put your group in breakout rooms, if you don't have access to a computer, you can use your phone, and there are more ways to use Zoom. There is't really anything about Zoom that I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simplicity. As zoom has matured, using the system has not gotten hard or confusing. As a Zoom subscriber leveraging webinbars, large meetings, zoom phone and zoom rooms everything has a consitent interface making it easier on my users to adopt features getting on-boarded.
Customer support is very quick to answer any issues and address concerns. Centralizaed management, easy implementation, integration with well known vendors, replacement of hardware as needed all rank high on my list of pluses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As an admin I am not fond of adding gifs/memes/etc. One thing I often push for is that when new features are rolled out, they should be off by default and with an available admin control to determine whether to enable them in their environment. Generally the opposite occurs where features come available first with no admin control and can't turn it off until later when users have already started leveraging the feature. As someone who's used it all: MS Teams, Slack, Discord, Skype, Google Meet, and Zoom—the latter is the best, by far. Zoom is the most accessible web conferencing platform on the market, it's easy and free to use, you can download it quickly on practically any device, and video/audio quality remains high. I use Zoom daily for internal and external meetings, and I also find that the reporting analytics are far superior to other platforms. When we reach out to customer support, we usually get the issue resolved within 1-2 business days, which is also much faster than other similar services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing that I dislike about Zoom Workplace is that it can be a bit confusing trying to access the exact information you're looking for on a meeting report. I think one thing that would be helpful is if Zoom did a little more in the realm of UX studies on their reporting/analytics hubs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Zoom is generally pretty stable. Most of my colleagues don't have issues using it daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The admin side can be kind of rough. You can't sort user lists by login date. Admin menu navigation is handled like that of iOS settings where there are lists of categories to scroll through. Certain functions seem to not exist or to be made in such a way that is vague or unclear. Feels like they skimped in UX dollars when it came to admin navigation and features.
Worst is attempting to contact support. There is an absolutely inane "verification system that asks for a pin along with another number, buried in your account. If you're not sitting at a computer or have that information written down separately then you're gonna have a bad time. It's a terrible system and I dread having to contact support for anything. Brings all the communication services expected in a modern enterprise into one platform, and does an excellent job replacing desk-bound VOIP systems.
Video conferencing, meetings, and the like are top-notch as expected from such a popular platform that really found its footing during COVID. Beats the pants off of Teams, that's for sure.
Setting up the platform for your business isn't simple (no suprise there), but it is straightforward and easy to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest issue, which is minor in the bigger scheme of things, is that users cannot record their own name for the phone directory. This is a big problem for people with names from tonal languages (and many more), which is disrespectful to the individuals. Users can record their own voicemail greetings, so it should be easy enough, but Zoom has been sleeping at the wheel on this one.
Customer support could also be better - they're very slow to get back to issues regarding usage, but pretty quick to address configuration or implementation problems.
For integration purposes, for multiple offices, the directory setup isn't as user friendly as it could be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We started out using Zoom only for video conferencing several years ago. With the onset of COVID we found ourselves managing an almost fully remote team and client base. We added Zoom webinar and eventually switched our phone sytem over as well.
Zoom has a very user friendly administrator portal that is easy to add new users and set them up on the phone system - much easier to our past carrier. There is a good variance of options in the settings to customize to user preference, and also some great admin control settings.
The AI summary is a good addition although the accuracy isn't always quite right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Team Chat feature is lacking a little bit (or perhaps we haven't figured it out enough yet). It would be a great all in one solution if we were able to use the chat function more like we do Slack, with being able to include guest members that are not part of our paid license.
The AI summary function is nice however I would love to see a notetaker similar to Firefly that lists the speakers name and what is being said. I believe this is available when recording but I don't see an option when not recording. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to have video/audio/chat communication on all devices used by staff is critical to maintaining communication among our internal staff and our clients. It is a tool that is used throughout the day for all staff and has been incredibly reliable (replacing an old phone system that was unable to keep pace with our needs). The initial setup and deployment was simple and easily connected to our other business tools. When the rare issue is experienced we have had good support from Zoom that has been timely and solution focused. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are still some features not yet implemented, or robust enough, to replace our third party solutions (scheduling is a key item). The pricing model does mean that we are unable to remove some accounts and recoup the cost but our company growth has made this nearly a moot point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've used a lot of video conferencing tools in the past and honestly have found Zoom to be the most user-friendly and reliable. Whether it's a one-to-one conference call or internal call, internal team chats or external pitches/calls it's served useful for any scenario that I need to use it for. There is very little that comes to mind but one that I've seen happen a few times historically (I think it may be more Google than Zoom though) is my zoom browser extension that's tied into my google calendar will get kicked out and when I set a calendar/meeting invite the option to make it a zoom meeting isn't there and I have to reload the browser and occassionally resync the two platforms to get it to work right. The only other thing I would say would be sharing files in a zoom chat is either non-existent or cumbersome so I usually have to convert things to a g-doc and then share a link, some improved way to file share would be sweet! I use Zoom everyday with all of my classes. What I like best is that I can see all my students at once and we can have a live lass as if it was in the real brick and mortar classroom. I like the hosting options as well! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Many times I have had issues with Zoom not being so stable, but that might be because of so many people using the program all at once. I do not like the options available for the co-host of the meeting. I have a paired teacher with me in class and I really wish she had the same permissions to do things that I have to do as the host. Either she has to wait on me to allow things or direct things to happen within the Zoom platform or if I make her the host, I have to wait for her to unlock a feature. This is a huge disadvantage for me with using Zoom. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Although features have not been commonly associated with the Zoom application, users still get passwords, entry rooms, as well as end-to-end encryption, and hence privacy and security issues will be of minimal impact. The second but not to understate the same, it can help with an adequate organization of the participants that hundreds, and even thousands of people, may either lead or take part in the campaign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Zoom discussions as such will work only with a stable internet connection. Having a weak internet connection you can face stuck screens or lost calls from time to time, which is in general not good for conducting conferences. Discovering technical malfunctioning will be the case for the participants like software failures, incompatibility with different device versions and the operating system, or lack of knowledge of how to navigate the meeting interface. I really love the UI, Video Settings it offers such as touch-up appearance, HD video and using Iphone as camera. It's very easy to use, and it's integrated well with my outlook email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The one thing I disklike about Zoom is it keeps logging me out of the SSO session because I use my org's email to login.
Everytime I have to press SSO, and then go to the webpage, login and redirect to app and it frustrating before a meeting Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has become a holistic platform meaning you can standardize several workplace functions into one platform. It is very simplistic to setup and manage from an administrator perspective. The use of Google or Active directory to bring in your employees makes for easy integration. I haven't had to use customer support from an admin perspective but it also seems to be easy to get help through their ticking and faq system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside is cost when you already pay for certain features outside of zoom. i.e Google Chat, Meet, teams, those items are all included in almost all Email account subscriptions, so you would need to ensure you standardize your SOPs at an org level and unifi on which platform you are using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Zoom makes it incredibly easy to add people to a call whether scheduled or on the fly. The streaming quality within Zoom is also very high, so you never have to worry about lagging meetings or low-quality video recordings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there was an option to view your video camera before you go live on the call. Being able to see yourself and adjust your lighting, appearance or background beforehand can help you feel ready to hit connect and start talking to people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the fact that Zoom is incredibly organized and in the admin settings, all features are essentially customizeable. Zoom is the ultimate tool for communication and collaboration. This program is essential to our business operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I dislike about Zoom is how much space is alloted for our recording storage, however, there really shouldn't be a problem long term as we take these videos and download them into our file cloud-storage platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are certian features of zoom that is a life saver for me.
1. The fact that I have got it integrated with my outlook calender so that i get notified of all the meetings is the best thing.
2. The new feature that got added recently , AI companion, where it makes notes of the meeting is so cool and userful, specially when you have got client meetings with lots of brainstorming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing i dislike about zoom is that while screen sharing, there should be an option for me to share my zoom chats as well. Sometimes it is needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
