Eben Moglen to Speak at Stanford Seminars

by Matt Lee Contributions Published on Aug 10, 2004 10:14 AM
Professor Eben Moglen has just confirmed that he will be speaking at both of the upcoming FSF licensing seminars, on August 24th and 25th at Stanford University. His topics will include patents and GPL 3.

The presence of Professor Moglen on the program adds substantial content and expertise, and because he will be speaking during the lunch periods, increases the amount of MCLE credit that can be earned by attendees.

  • During the lunch on the first day, he will speak on "Patents and Free Software."
  • During the lunch on the second day, he will speak on "GPL 3: Prospects and Process."
  • Later in the afternoon on the second day, he will take time to address additional current events and field questions.

Eben Moglen is a Professor of Law and Legal History at Columbia Law School, and is one of the nation's foremost scholars on copyright, patents and the GPL. He is on FSF's board of directors and serves as General Counsel to FSF.
