Dancers, acts and bands alike, congregated at the iconic community centre, after the rains came down last weekend to wash away any chance of it being held in its normal home of Queen's Park.
Residents say the distance the village and the river has shrunk from 50 metres to 10 metres, warning the flooding could wash away the whole population.
It's called "No more stories, Are told today, I'm sorry, They washed away, No more stories, The world is grey, I'm tired, Let's wash away" - which is neat enough in its way but not quite as snappy as Tyrannosaur Rex's "My people were fair, And had sky in their hair, But now they're content, To wear stars on their brows."
