A surface electrocardiogram (ECG) demonstrated wide complex
tachycardia (220 beats/min) of LBBB morphology with an inferior axis, suggesting a RVOT origin.
Bradycardia and
tachycardia, which mean "slow heart" and "fast heart", respectively, occur in nearly all adults.
Rhabdomyoma-related arrhythmias have been reported as premature atrial and ventricular contractions, supraventricular and ventricular
tachycardia, sinus node dysfunction, atrioventricular block, atrial flutter with non-conducted premature atrial contraction, and WPW syndrome (1, 3, 4, 9).
The
tachycardia was successfully terminated during ablation and the ablation line extended to the inferior vena cava.
Conclusion: Cardiac electrophysiology studies and radiofrequency catheter ablation were found to be an effective and safe method for diagnosis and treatment of supraventricular
tachycardia.
In neuropathic POTS, sympathetic denervation of the lower extremities results in excessive blood pooling and reflex
tachycardia (Grubb, 2008).
The clear winner in terms of efficacy was the modified Valsalva maneuver, in which patients with supraventricular
tachycardia (SVT) performed a standardized strain while in a semirecumbent position, then immediately laid flat and had their legs raised to 45 degrees for 15 seconds before returning to the semirecumbent position.
The present case report described the use of ECMO for a severe cardiogenic shock related to incessant junctional ectopic
tachycardia secondary to catheter closure of VSD and had been shown the benefit of ECMO to restore systemic circulation and to allow time for achieving rate control and sinus rhythm while awaiting recovery of myocardial function.
Flecainide is approved by the Food and Drug Administration for the prevention of paroxysmal supraventricular
tachycardia, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation/flutter, and sustained ventricular
tachycardia.
The patient did not complain of any symptoms; however, a routine check of her vital signs revealed low blood pressure and
tachycardia (160-230 beats/min).
This case is presented to draw attention to catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular
tachycardia, which is rarely observed in patients who faint with exertion, and to report the gene mutation, which has been defined for the first time.
Postural orthostatic
tachycardia syndrome (POTS) is characterized by an orthostatic increase in the heart rate of >30 beats per minute within 10 minutes of standing or during head-up tilt table test in the absence of orthostatic hypotension.
In the settings of supraventricular
tachycardia, ST depression can be seen but usually resolves after restoration of sinus rhythm.
Supraventricular
tachycardia (SVT) is used to describe any abnormal narrow (<120 milliseconds) QRS complex
tachycardia (>100 bpm) which starts and ends suddenly.
They treated five patients with irregular heart rhythms, called ventricular
tachycardia, who had not responded to standard treatments.
