Speaking about the performance, director Vasiliki Andreou said that Jack and the Beanstalk teaches children to respect the environment, recycling and how to accept diversity.

Jack and the Beanstalk, starring Eastenders' Ricky Groves and X Factor's Lloyd Daniels, will play at The Forum for just four performances - today at 1.30pm and 6pm and tomorrow at 11am and 3pm.

Victoria Firth, director of the LBT, said: "It was wonderful to see local students enjoying Jack and The Beanstalk today thanks to Syngenta and our Christmas Angels appeal.
