The Faculty of Forestry at UBC equips the next generation of leaders with the tools to discover solutions to some of the most pressing challenges affecting communities around the globe. Recognized worldwide for our award-winning education, research, and initiatives, we are home to some of the most innovative minds and approaches.

Focused on the environmental and forest sciences, our work is leading to advances in areas such as biodiversity management, the bioeconomy, conservation, and sustainability. UBC Forestry students gain knowledge, skills, and hands-on experiences from our multidisciplinary faculty of experts, with access to cutting-edge equipment, facilities, and field locations. Through the lens of collaboration, we offer forward-thinking undergraduate and graduate studies that open doors to exciting careers or further studies.

UBC Forestry is located at UBC’s Point Grey campus on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Territory. We acknowledge the culture, history, and traditions of the Musqueam and other Indigenous Peoples who have stewarded this land and its forests for millennia. We are grateful to learn, research, and work inside the beautiful Forest Sciences Centre in Vancouver, in our research forests in Maple Ridge and Williams Lake, on Haida Gwaii, and in numerous locations around the world.
