Description
Our Chronological Bible reading plan for July 30 is Isaiah 54-58. We are reading through the Bible in order, following a chronological Bible reading plan.
Here are a few tips for successfully reading the Bible daily:
1. Start reading the Bible today -- join with us on the Bible reading plan so you will know where to start.
2. Pray before you read the Bible. God says if you seek Him, you will find Him. Ask Him to reveal Himself as you read!
3. Read the Bible at the same time each day, as much as you are able. This isn't about being religious - it's about being disciplined and consistent. I personally love to read the Bible first thing every morning, and it's rare that I don't. Being committed to reading every morning as soon as I wake up has helped me tremendously.
4. Read the Bible with purpose. Read it to learn about who God is, and who we are in relation to Him, not just to check a box.
5. Share what you are reading with someone. The best way to learn material is by teaching it, so if you are committed to telling someone about what you read, you'll be sure to remember it. It will also help when you join our (or a) community of people who are reading the Bible together. Sure, you could read it on your own, but you'll have a much greater chance of sticking it out with the accountability that comes from being part of a community. You could join the Bible In Order facebook group, or maybe invite your friend, family member or even invite your church! Please subscribe for daily updates and leave a review if you find the recording helpful to your spiritual walk.
We hope this is useful as a companion to your reading and devotional time. For the entire chronological reading plan we are following, or if you have any questions, comments or prayer request(s), email David Doty at [email protected].
