Dear Reader,
I am the author of this book, and my son is gay.
Aside from his birth, the fact that my son is gay is one of the best things that has happened to me in my life.
People tell me that my son is lucky to have the mother and father he has, but I don’t believe that at all.
This book shouldn’t have to be written, but unfortunately, it’s still necessary. It’s a guide for mothers and fathers who have doubts or who feel resistance toward something they don’t understand. Let’s clear things up and prepare ourselves to support the daughters and sons we have sacrificed so much for. Let’s try to understand their hopes, dreams, and struggles so we can always be there for them when they need us.
THAT'S WHAT WE ARE HERE FOR AS THEIR MOTHERS AND FATHERS.
1- CLARIFYING CONCEPTS
Homosexuality is the erotic, romantic, and sexual attraction that a person experiences consistently toward individuals of the same sex. In other words, homosexual men are those attracted to other men, and homosexual women are those attracted to other women.
Homosexuality is a sexual orientation, a form of sexual and emotional attraction, which relates to the object of one’s desire. Homosexual people (or bisexual people, if they are interested in both their own sex and the opposite sex) can have different types of gender identities, which do not necessarily influence their preferences when it comes to forming romantic or erotic connections.
Something fundamental that you, as a mother or father, need to understand right now is that your daughter or son WAS BORN HOMOSEXUAL. Sexual identity is carried in the chromosomes, so YOUR BABY WAS ALREADY HOMOSEXUAL WHEN THEY WERE BORN.
Many people struggle to understand this and fall into the typical misconceptions: They’ll change,
They should think it over,
or These things pass with time.
If these individuals could make a mental effort to understand that they themselves were heterosexual from birth, and that this isn’t something acquired in adulthood but rather written into their genes without any human way of changing it, they could save their daughters and sons a lot of suffering.
Imagine the anguish of homosexual children who feel attraction toward the same sex—something impossible to avoid—yet their family pressures them to change because what’s written in their genes is seen as dirty, forbidden, and unnatural. Can you imagine it?
This went on for many years, thousands of years, almost always because of
