    Melchizedek Frequencies - Adonijah O. Ogbonnaya Ph.D.

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Although it is possible to write a book like this one by oneself, it is not necessarily advisable or wise. What we do is for the benefit of humankind and involves the energy of humanity to bring it to fruition. If it were not for the loving input and care of the many people around me, this book would not exist—at least not at this time. It is their love, care, and dedication that has made this work possible while giving me freedom to pursue other areas of research and teaching without being stuck. All the ideas in this book, along with their success or failure to please the reader, are mine. However, I would be remiss if I did not express my gratitude for the work done by many others to bring it to publication.

I thank my publisher, Chris Blackeby, and his team, Linda Lurie and Leigh Brett. I am grateful to Kathy Strecker who edited the book, Ronald Montijn who transcribed and did some editing of the manuscript, and John Eichelberger who read and offered input on the second draft.

I am especially grateful for my hard-working staff, Edward Johnson and Monique Tyson, who coordinate my publications and do so much to help keep them on track.

I thank the Melchizedek Church of Nashville, Pastor Donald Crossland, and all the staff who gave me the opportunity to teach this material to the church before I wrote the book. Thanks to all my students who study with me. Our interactions allow me to seek deeper places of relationship and cultivate more openness to new depths of revelatory knowledge from the Word.

My deepest thanks and gratitude are for the Word Made Flesh, Yeshua, our Lord and Master, who deserves all glory and honor. AMEN!

    Introduction

The name Melchizedek, which was introduced in the story of our father Abraham, has elicited many interpretations in Western religious literature. In this brief book, I have endeavored to add my voice from a different perspective to give the reader a view into Melchizedek that he/she may never have been given before. To the symphony of earnest interpreters of the revelation of Melchizedek, I say that my alchemical crucible of revelatory engagement with the Spirit is sure to contribute to understanding this mysterious being called Melchizedek.

From this desire and perspective, I have limited the scope of this book and focused on the frequencies of life that Melchizedek represents for those who will engage in his mystery.

This book is the first of a three-volume work on Melchizedek. The first volume deals with what I call Melchizedek Frequencies. The second volume deals with Melchizedek Consciousness, and the third volume deals with Melchizedek Rays.

When speaking of Melchizedek, one should naturally think of the Messiah, our father Abraham, King David, and of course, the Aaronic Priesthood that represented an outflow of the principle of his being. Therefore, I present first the stories from the ancient world, especially the Bible, that illustrate the importance of Melchizedek. Then I lay the framework for understanding the priesthood of Melchizedek.

In this volume, I navigate the meaning, scope, and hidden mysteries of the Melchizedek frequencies. The idea of frequencies is to point to the spiritual vibrational impact of certain dimensions of this priesthood in terms of human relationships with God, with one another, and with the created worlds. The Melchizedek frequency is the mystical structuring of priestly activities that unlocks the hidden tones of heaven in the normal, daily priestly mode of being in the world. This book is meant to map and bring clarity to systems that are intrinsically Melchizedek in nature and to move the reader to look at their divine/human responsibility in new ways. The true work of the Melchizedek Priesthood has its beginning in his first meeting with Abraham, which demonstrates the rectification and perfecting of creation through the divine/human relationship.

Human activities, when done in conjunction with Melchizedek principles, emit specific transformational frequencies both for us and the world. In this book, you will read about some of these activities, their frequencies, and their potential transformational impact on the world at large, your personal life, and that of your family and friends. What is the Melchizedek frequency of sacrifice and how does it impact the way the believer lives life? What is the relationship between the principles of the Melchizedek Priesthood and our calling to the construct of divine sonship? What do Melchizedek frequencies say about our impact in creation?

The human will, in my opinion, emits a particular kind of frequency that influences and directs how the world responds to us and how we also respond to it. What does it look like to be attuned to the Melchizedek frequency and how does it impact our divine destiny in the current world and maybe even in the world to come? All the aspects of the Melchizedek life call us to emit frequencies and vibrations that impact, transmute, and transform our world. Kingship, sonship, rest, respect and honor, scientific knowledge—almost all human activities done for Divine/human goals can be tuned to a Melchizedek frequency that can bring rectification to the world.

The grand idea is that the Word, which became flesh in the man Yeshua Ha Mashiach, is God being initiated into the priesthood after the Order of Melchizedek. This initiation makes it possible to insert the God frequency into the human being and the human acting. Consequently, my actions (the acts of any believer) in the Melchizedek Priesthood, obtained before God through Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus the Christ), emit the same frequency that Jesus the Christ emitted through His initiation into His role as the High Priest.

These are just a few points we will explore in this Melchizedek phenomenon. As you read, I encourage you to live out the Melchizedek life and emit these frequencies in your own divine being and acting.

Chapter 1 - The Frequency Of Sacrifice

Hebrews 1-8 is all about Melchizedek. I think it is set up to prove that Jesus Christ is inserted into the Melchizedek order. For a long time, we were taught that Melchizedek is Jesus, but He is not. There are two orders of priesthood recognized by God: the Aaronic Priesthood, of which I am one by blood, and the Melchizedek Priesthood.

There is a group of people living in South Africa called the Lemba Tribe.¹ As far as we know, they are the largest people group on earth that is allowed to sacrifice in the temple, if one were to be built. They have a very dark skin color and are direct descendants of Aaron. Now what does that mean? In the context of Hebrews 1-8, one family line mentions Jesus Christ. All eight chapters are about Melchizedek, but they also show that Jesus Christ was initiated into the order of Melchizedek. God decreed that Jesus should be inserted there, but God Himself was not the one who put him into the order of Melchizedek. God spoke, but in order to be a priest, you must first participate in the life of the people for whom you are going to serve as a priest.

You cannot be an outsider and still be a priest. Even as God, Jesus was not automatically qualified to be initiated into the order of Melchizedek. Jesus could not become the High Priest unless He first became a man. If Jesus was only God, He could be a priest in heaven only, not for humanity. To be a priest for any people or family, you must first participate in the bloodline of the people. Jesus could not have been a High Priest if He had not become a man.

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, but Jesus is not a High Priest in the Godhead. Jesus’ nature is exactly the same as that of the Father and the Holy Spirit. This means that Jesus always existed from the very moment God was God. The second person of the Godhead has always been in the Godhead and is co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. This results in a perichoretic movement. Perichoresis² is a great Christian word that you should learn. It refers to the interpenetration of beings, meaning that the complete being of God is in Him. Every person of the Godhead fully contains the other two completely within themselves.

When the second person of the Godhead was still in heaven, His name was not Jesus. He was simply God. Christianity believes in one God in three persons, not one God and three persons. This means that when you see one person of the Godhead, you have seen the rest. If you see the Father, you have also seen the Holy Spirit and the Son. That is why Scripture says,

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.³

Everywhere one goes, the rest of the Godhead goes, too.

If you have the Holy Spirit right now, then the Father and the Son operate within the Spirit while the Spirit does the frontal work. The person we are talking about is the very God of the very God, the very light of the very light. We are not talking about a god that appeared only recently on Earth. Jesus did not become God when He became a human being. Jesus Christ was not a human being who was later made into God. Jesus was God by His very essence and became a human being.

When we talk about Melchizedek, I often hear people say many things. This Son in God, who is God, and wherever He goes, the other two are with Him. In creation, the Father was the foremost being and used the Spirit and the Word to create the world. This means that the Father was in the forefront, and the other two were instrumental. However, one of the things we have not done effectively is understand that the Spirit is in the forefront—one of the things we are going to unwrap in this book.

Jesus himself said that He is going in the background and the Spirit will take over. As Pentecostals, we seem to have misunderstood this, as we still act as if the Spirit is not present. However, Jesus said that if He does not go, the Spirit will not come. Jesus said that He was leaving us with the Spirit; meaning that in our age, the Spirit is in the forefront. Please understand me—Jesus Christ is still Lord, but you are in the Age of the Holy Spirit.

In the redemptive and preservative principles of creation, the Son took the forefront, but the Holy Spirit and the Father were still present in redemption. If the Father and the Spirit were not present in Christ, redemption would have been incomplete. We are dealing with someone who is fully God and became fully human. He was not partially human, but fully human.

Before creation, God was completely God. With the intent of creation, the second person of the Godhead had to step into prominence. The Bible says,

Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God who was slain before the foundation of the world.

I know many people say, from the foundation, but in this case, it is not from. The Greek word apo5 can mean from, but it can also mean before. This means that Jesus Christ is not the foundation of the world. So then, who is the foundation of the world? You are. The Bible says that the righteous are the foundation of the world. Not God. Not Jesus. Not the Holy Spirit. The Bible clearly says that you are the foundation of the world.⁶ The Hebrew uses two words: the word for foundation is Yesod and the word for world is Olam.

Again, Jesus is not the foundation of the world; He is that which is before the foundation of the world. He is what theologians call the ground of being. There cannot be a foundation without the ground. Jesus is the ground, and we are the foundation. But for Jesus Christ to be the fabric upon which the foundation is laid, He had to die. This is not a death like you and I experience, but His life still had to be given. There was no death before creation,⁸ only the possibility of a change of substance.

God became a Lamb, which means there was a change of substance. But the substance of His being had to be shed so He could become the ground upon which the righteous could become the foundation. That is why wisdom was rejoicing in you before you were made. The person you are calling God took on a form that God had never taken before. Since Jesus took that form, and the righteous are the foundation of the world, something had to happen. God has always had in His mind that we would become part of the Godhead. You and I will be part of the Godhead. If not, why did He take a human body into the Godhead? There is a human body sitting in heaven right now. Jesus did not just go to heaven; He is sitting in the center of God. There is a body in the midst of the triune God. He was slain before the foundation of the world,⁹ and you are the foundation of worlds. Wisdom, which is an outgrowth of the intentionality of Divinity, was looking and said, Those are the people in whom I am rejoicing! Incredible!

Yet before that can happen, that Lamb, that substance which God became in a realm where there was no death, had to be slain. And since there was no death before creation, if it were slain, the result can only be life, not death.

So who then must slay the Lamb? It cannot be God, because you cannot show me one place in Scripture where it says that the Father killed Jesus. You may have heard people say, the Father slew His only Son, but the Bible does not actually say that. In fact, the Bible teaches against it.¹⁰ This is why, when Abraham took Isaac up, God did not let him kill Isaac.

It is illegal, both in Divinity and in creation, for a father to slay his own child, so much so that God made a law in Israel that they must not offer up their own children as a sacrifice.¹¹ In other words, they must not slay their own children. It is an eternal law that a father is not supposed to kill his own child.

But think about it. Who is going to kill this Lamb, this God who has taken on a different substance? It must be a priest. However, you cannot be the priest of an order of which you are not a part. Jesus did not become an Israelite. He became a human being. Let me try to clarify. He was a Jew, but He did not become Jewish. The Bible never said that Jesus became Jewish, not once. The Bible never said that He became an Israelite. Instead, the Bible says that the Lord Jesus Christ became Anthropos or human He became Adam.¹²

Who killed Jesus on Calvary? Human beings and priests! Who slew Jesus before the foundation of the world? A priest! And the only priest that God had already projected was a human being. So, Melchizedek is the summative principle of the human beings who are the priests of God.

That means that you and I slew Jesus. You and I slew the Lamb before the foundation of the world. If you recall what happened on Calvary, human beings slew the Lord Jesus Christ. You cannot have it different in the beginning. There must be consistency between the two events, and they must have an arc.

What is this arc? Melchizedek represents the summative principle of the entire body of humanity, even before the world was created. This means that God reached into the future, bringing you and me into existence to slay the Lamb before the foundation of the world. The Bible says that Melchizedek has no father or mother, and does not have a beginning or an end.¹³ Who else on earth is like that? Only those who are born from above. If you are born from heaven, then you are born from God.

This is a simple teaching that I have repeated many times, but it is good to remind Christians. If you are born of God, and we know that what is born of the Spirit is Spirit, then you have the very nature of God.¹⁴ You cannot be anything other than what gives birth to you. If I am born of God, then I am god, or at least I have the nature of God.

Because God gave birth to me, I have a different nature. If you do not believe that, then remove it from Scripture. The Lord Jesus Christ says,

    "That which is born of
