      ay and I are both leaders in network marketing, but we were never in each other’s inner circle as we are today.  For many years, I’ve considered Ray to be the very best trainer in network marketing, period.

      His bold faith and desire to be obedient to God’s calling on his life quickly got my husband Thomas and my attention and respect.

      Ray Higdon was on a lifelong search for purpose and meaning. On his journey, he dared God to speak of water buffalos. God delivered, but Ray still didn’t believe. Just as He does for you and me, God never wavers. He was patiently waiting for Ray to answer His knock on Ray’s heart.

      Then it happened: Ray’s infamous My Apology video in November of 2022—pouring out Jesus’ transformational love and humility.

      There’s a common mistruth that faith is reserved for Sunday morning and not allowed in the marketplace. Unfortunately, too many people comply so as not to make waves. In network marketing, we are independent entrepreneurs, free to keep our priorities in line, putting God and family before business. Our career is not our idol—so what others think of us is none of our business—as we answer to God. We are called to love God and love people around the clock. Of the 132 public appearances of Jesus, 122 were in the marketplace, and 45 of the 52 parables were in the marketplace context.

      Colossians 3:23-24 says: Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord and not for people, knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.

      Network marketing is the most closely aligned business model to the ministry of Jesus Christ and the spread of the gospel. When we implement God’s word as the foundation of everything we do, then the fruits in our organization will be evident and duplicated:

      Galatians 5:22-23: But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

      In Chapter I, Ray shares the story of his speaking at my recent business leadership conference in Scottsdale with an audience of 500 of my top leaders. I sat in the front row as I watched Ray speak, pause, and, literally, hands on the podium, head down and shaking, share the Gospel.

      As he proceeded, I was shaking, too! Ray, no, what? Don’t!

      Holy Spirit spoke to me: Donna, this is my event, not yours. I quickly surrendered and trusted Ray was being obedient.

      He shared on his following Monday show that what he did at my event in Arizona was the hardest thing he’d ever done. (And he and Jessica were in Israel on October 7th of 2023.)

      Yes, there was some pushback, but God’s word will never return void, and many of my leaders in the room were moved to tears, including a baptism in the pool afterward!

      While reading the manuscript for this book, I realized the ripple effect of that act of obedience didn’t stop in Arizona. Wait till you read what happened four days later at a men’s conference in Milwaukee.

      This book is long overdue. Ray doesn’t know this, but The Faith Driven Network Marketer is an answer to prayer. When Holy Spirit called me to write My Mentor Walks on Water, I assumed His intention was to pen my success using biblical principles in network marketing for nearly 50 years. (Yes, I started as a teenager!) Nope, Holy Spirit called me to stroke a broad brush about spirit-led mentorship in every area of your life, and my job was to be obedient.

      This is the book that focuses not just on business, but specifically faith-driven network marketing. You’ll be inspired to align with God’s timeless principles. Jesus is your savior, mentor, and business partner.

      My prayer is Ray’s book will inspire you to have the courage to live and share your faith in your business. The timing couldn’t be more perfect. The world not only craves financial peace but also significance, connection, community, and a sense of belonging.

      JERUSALEM, OCTOBER 2023

      I

      ’m standing in the bomb shelter in the basement of our hotel, and we can feel the hotel rocking. Yet I feel oddly calm.

      My wife, Jessica, is sitting next to me, and she is anything but calm. She is terrified, in large part because we are away from our kids. I should be scared, too, but I am not. Somehow, I know we are going to be okay. I’m sure that if I had found myself in a situation like this a year earlier, it would have been a different story. 

      Jess and I had come to Israel as part of a church group, visiting historical sites and connecting with other members of the congregation. The first half of the trip was awesome. But now, here we are, and Israel is under attack.

      We’re far enough underground that we can’t hear the explosions, but the app on my wife’s phone keeps going off, advising us another rocket is coming. Every few minutes, we can feel the vibrations of the explosions, so we are very aware of what is happening around us.  

      The Iron Dome—a missile defense system developed by Israel to intercept and destroy short-range rockets and artillery shells launched by militant groups is working as designed. In just one day, more than 3,000 rockets had been launched in Israel’s direction, and every one of them had been taken out. However, we must stay in the fallout shelter in case one should get through. You can still die from falling shrapnel.

      Jess spends her time on her phone, desperately looking for a flight out. She’s booked four flights already, each of which has been canceled. I have chosen to take a different tack. I have elected to spend my time praying.

      Back in the hotel room, it happens. I feel God’s presence in me. I have felt His presence many times, but never like this.
