Vincent van Gogh - Heroes Us Among
INTRODUCTION
Vincent van Gogh did not survive to see his brilliance acknowledged. Throughout his early years, Van Gogh struggled with fluctuating moods and lacked any early aptitude for creating art.
The second of six children, Vincent van Gogh, was born in the southern Netherlands to devout Dutch Reformed Church parents. Vincent was viewed as a failure and a lunatic and ill-fated commercially throughout his entire life. He began creating paintings when he was already 27 years old. From that point on, he never stopped. Everyone who hears the name Vincent van Gogh nowadays may immediately picture one of his famous works that have become his legacy. He is remembered for his vibrant colors, expressive brushstrokes, curved figures, and the turbulence in his personal life. Van Gogh is currently regarded as the second-greatest Dutch painter behind Rembrandt.

Vincent Willem van Gogh, the world’s acclaimed painter, was born on March 30, 1853. He was born in Zundert, Netherlands, into a well-to-do family. North Brabant in the Netherlands includes the province of Zundert, which is primarily Catholic. Theodorus van Gogh, Vincent’s father, is a preacher in the Dutch Reformed Church. His mother, Anna Cornelia Carbentus, was from a wealthy family in the west coast city of The Hague. Vincent has five siblings, Anna Cornelia, Theodorus, Elisabeth, Willemina, and Cornelis Vincent.
Van Gogh’s mother was a strict, devout woman who strongly emphasized family for those surrounding her. Anna inculcated into the kids the need to maintain the family’s high status in society. The Church also provided the family with a residence, two chefs, a maid, a gardener, a vehicle, and a horse in addition to the small salary Theodorus received as a preacher. Anna would devote most of her efforts, obsessive organization, and fearful obedience to parenting these six kids. She claimed that people are molded by their families before the outside
