      Volume 6 – Which one of you is the bigger man?

      Olivia and Jake enjoy a fun night on the town in Nashville, where the drinks are plentiful and strong. At first, Jake likes the new, overserved, uninhibited Olivia. But as she gets more hands on with her new friends, will he embrace this side of her, or will he decide that three is a crowd?

      Chapter Nine

      I am so proud of you, he said, and the look on his face told her he was. She’d learned during the time they had been dating that he wore his emotions on his sleeve. One more year, then you will really be Nurse Olivia.

      No pressure or anything, she said, rolling her eyes at him and making a funny face. He reached out, rubbing her face with his hand, then leaned in for a sweet kiss. He was so sensitive, thoughtful, and patient. So patient. In fact, Olivia didn’t think she had ever met anyone with so much patience. That was good for her since being around her and the drama in her life required more than most people had. Between the issues with her mom and dealing with her ex, she was frequently a mess.

      A voice came over the intercom, jarring her from her thoughts. Ladies and gentlemen, we’ll be landing in Nashville in about forty-five minutes, so please take this time to stretch your legs before we turn on the fasten seat belts sign.

      Olivia looked over at Jake and gave him her best puppy eyes. You promised. She pooched out her bottom lip, then reached over, rubbing his leg.

      Olivia— he tried but was cut off. She wasn’t going to take no for an answer. Olivia had wanted to put a check mark next to this item for a while and now she had someone to do it with. She unbuckled her seat belt, grabbing his hand, forcing him to follow.

      They headed down the aisle, dodging people as they walked.
