    Dedication

To God, the Great Healer, who is responsible for all healing.

To my wife of forty-three years, who is the love of my life, and my two amazing sons, who are my joy.

To all my forward-thinking clients who, over the past twenty-two years, have left chronic illness behind for maintenance-free health, and to those I have been privileged to train in becoming excellent ACT practitioners.

    ***

This book is also dedicated to you, reader, because you and I are one and the same.

After suffering from thirty years of job- and life-stealing asthma, pneumonia, allergies, and arthritis, my health crisis culminated in aggressive cancer. I know what it’s like to feel helpless in the face of long-term pain. I know what it’s like to want to give up the fight.

But, because you and I are the same, I also know that you’ve never stopped searching. You’ve never stopped hoping. You’ve never stopped praying.

May this book be the miracle in your life that you’ve been waiting for.

    About the Author

    A Letter from Helen

    Dear Gary,

We’ve never met, but I am indebted to you for helping my daughter Maddie reclaim her life. This probably sounds over-the-top melodramatic, but it’s true, and I owe you.

Five years ago, Maddie was a typical sixteen-year-old high school kid, a drama geek who loved music and the performing arts. She was an honor student with a part-time job and an active social life. Her future was bright.

All of that changed when some unidentified insect bit her and she got a bull’s-eye rash. The school nurse mentioned Lyme disease and urged us to check it out right away.

After a battery of tests, we were relieved when the doctor emphatically said Maddie did not have Lyme. She took the meds he prescribed and the incident was all but forgotten.

But, a slow, dark spiral was unraveling. At first, her symptoms were random and weird. Eventually, she suffered daily from severe muscle and joint pain and debilitating headaches.

During the past two years, Maddie has seen nearly twenty medical professionals. She has been poked, prodded, X-rayed, lectured, patronized, and even yelled at. She’s endured a spinal tap, a sleep study, an upper endoscopy, several MRIs, allergy testing, cardiac tests, neurological exams, extensive eye tests, rheumatology protocols, and countless blood panels.

She was tested six times for Lyme.

She has been diagnosed with multiple disorders, including obscure things like delayed gastric emptying and gastritis, along with more common problems, such as anxiety, severe migraines, and fibromyalgia.

Her daily meds have included Cymbalta, Lyrica, Propranolol, Valium, Klonopin, and twelve others, including steroids.

A well-respected infectious disease specialist told her that she needed to "accept her situation and be grateful she didn’t have something really serious, like cancer."

Leaving a doctor’s office in tears became normal.

For me, the lowest moment came fifteen months ago.

Mom, I’m sitting on the bottom step of the staircase at school, she said, sobbing. I can’t walk upstairs. I can’t do this anymore. I’m so tired of being sick all the time.

At that point, Maddie was using a cane to walk around the campus of the college she was attending. She could barely function or make it through her classes. She slept most of the day, couldn’t hold down a part-time job, and rarely went anywhere for fun because she was too exhausted and in too much pain. Her anxiety was beyond belief.

We kept searching for answers. I became convinced she had Lyme. We went to her primary care physician and I told Maddie to sob and beg for the antibiotic for Lyme. With great reservation, he prescribed doxycycline and she felt better for three months. But the symptoms returned with a vengeance and he wouldn’t prescribe the medication again.

    We were desperate.

I did something completely out of character (and by some standards, downright stupid). I ordered medication online without a prescription—but it didn’t work, and her symptoms got worse. Maddie became depressed, defeated, and increasingly isolated.

Out of the blue, she ended up in the emergency room with tachycardia. Her resting heart rate was over 200 beats a minute. The doctors had no idea what was causing it and admitted her overnight for observation.

That’s when God stepped in. He must have decided that Maddie had had enough.

Lisa, the RN assigned to take care of Maddie that night, was a real-life angel who patiently and sympathetically listened to our story.

Has Maddie ever been tested for Lyme? she said.

Are you one of those anti-Lymers? I said. Because if you are, I really don’t want to discuss this with you.

She assured me that Lyme is real and went on to tell me about her twelve-year-old son’s case and the remarkable results her family had seen with an alternative solution called Advanced Cell Training (ACT).

As a medical professional, I can’t explain how or why it works. But I can tell you with absolute certainty that it does.

That was six months ago. Maddie started with ACT (Lyme Group #80) almost four months ago and the results have been amazing. She is almost completely pain-free and has eliminated most of her medications. She still suffers from headaches but is feeling much better. Her anxiety has decreased significantly and her attitude is much improved. My happy-go-lucky kid is back!

I have no way of telling you how much this means to us, but I must thank you. You are my hero.

    Introduction

Eleni Tucker is a registered nurse who believes in complementary approaches to conventional medicine. Her story began in 2002, when she began having arthritic pain throughout her body. This led to memory issues, brain fog, and severe fatigue. She tested negative for Lyme. Four years later, when she was bitten by a tick, she begged to be put on medication and was given doxycycline for one month.

I was told I had ‘feminine’ issues, she says, and should see a gynecologist or psychiatrist. I finally found a compassionate doctor who treated my Lyme aggressively with antibiotics and supplements for two grueling years. When I stopped the meds, my symptoms returned with a vengeance.

In November 2012, ten years later, Eleni heard about Advanced Cell Training (ACT) and enrolled in one of our classes. I am ecstatic to report that nearly all of her symptoms are now gone.

I am a firm believer in ACT, says Eleni. "It is the only approach that has completely restored my health! Gary’s method has healed the infirmities of the body and the heart. Thank you, God, and everyone at ACT!"

    Eleni is not alone.

David Dunham found out ten years ago that he had Lyme disease after a tick bit him during a hiking trip. He was treated for two weeks with meds and thought it was over. His sons even joked about it, saying he was a real mountain man.

I had no idea how serious Lyme could be, he says.

If only those of us who had similar experiences had known that and received the proper treatment from the start. David, as with so many others, had no idea how ravaged his body had become on the inside by this insidious disease.

In 2009, David was hospitalized on several occasions with atrial fibrillation and suffered with severe joint and muscle pain and constant fatigue, which doctors diagnosed as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and even male menopause.

I tried oral antibiotics, injections, supplements, and infrared saunas, he says, but I could not sustain any gains. Every time I thought I was getting better, the symptoms kept returning. I am so blessed to have found Advanced Cell Training. For the first time in ten years, my symptoms are gone and I feel like I am finally free of Lyme disease! Put your faith in God, ACT, and Gary Blier, and you will see results, too!

I am blessed to have had the opportunity to help David and others, like Gail Swanson, who was a healthy and happy mother of two living in the mountains of New Jersey when her life was turned upside down by Lyme disease; once again initially misdiagnosed and untreated. Gail’s heart, brain, joints, and memory became so affected that she had to leave her job. She became virtually bedridden, unable to walk without holding on to someone. Constant migraines debilitated her for months.

I was so sick I would sometimes cry for days, she says, desperate and unable to cope. I told my husband I was not going to make it. When I came across ACT, my intuition told me to try it.

Gail was enrolled in our program for more than nine months and saw significant improvement. ACT trains your body to heal itself by working on all levels—mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual, and Gail has taken full advantage of what we offer.

I still have a way to go, she says, but I have gone from being hopeless to hopeful in a relatively short time. If you have Lyme disease, or know anyone with mysterious symptoms, I urge you to give this a try. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

I’m sure I couldn’t say it any better myself. I met these three wonderful people (and many others) when they were in great distress. Each one of them was looking for serious, comprehensive relief from their health problems, and by the grace of God they have been able to find meaningful and lasting solutions.

While I appreciate the support and sentiments expressed by Eleni, David, and Gail, I must disclose at this time that I am not a healer. I believe that all bodies—including yours—can heal themselves with the right kind of coaching. I am blessed that I have discovered the necessary tools for helping people heal themselves. I am so grateful to be in the position of helping others, but it never would have happened if I had not been searching desperately myself for solutions to my own ills.

    Humble Beginnings

I never planned to be a health coach, but that’s exactly what I’ve become—and I love it! Each week, I hold teleconference classes for hundreds of people, teaching the principles of the Advanced Cell Training system of health restoration.

Despite being at this for twenty-three years now, I still don’t feel as if I fit the mold of a health coach. I have no formal education in traditional or alternative medicine. I received a degree in business, and all I ever wanted was to become involved in big business— not just for money, but to create positive working environments.

I grew up in the kitchen of my father’s restaurant. He was a difficult boss, prone to capricious anger. In short, it was a terrible place to spend my time. Have you ever walked on eggshells, trying to deal with this type of boss? It is stressful and unhealthy, and certainly not an atmosphere that promotes good health or happiness.

Since then, I have always wanted control of my
