What is the immune system?
The body's natural response to disease is an immune response. It helps develop immunity, just as vaccination helps provide active immunity to certain diseases or infections. Immunity protects the body from future diseases. You can boost your body's immune system in various ways, including diet, lifestyle changes, supplements, and more! A booster vaccination helps develop a more robust or updated immunity to certain diseases and infections.
Antibodies to a disease in a person's system give them resistance to that disease. Antibodies are healthy proteins produced by the body to reduce or destroy the effects of toxic substances or disease carriers. Antibodies target specific diseases. Measles antibodies, for example, protect a person from measles but have no effect when he or she is exposed to mumps.
If you are like most people, you are interested in learning more about defenses. Perhaps you have heard the term immunization
before and are unsure what it means. Your body's immune system is an integral part of your body that protects you from infections. Antibodies that fight infections are the structure of immunity. Vaccination involves injecting a person with an antigen (a compound that triggers an immune response). The body's immune system makes antibodies in response to an antigen. You are much more susceptible to disease if your immune system is weakened by cigarette smoking, anxiety, or a poor diet. Remember that a standard booster shot can help boost immunity, especially if you plan to travel to places with high levels of infection.
The body's immune system is essential for protecting against and eliminating the disease. This is especially important considering the current Coronavirus pandemic. Our lifestyle usually determines the well-being of our immune system, and if you want to improve this critical part of your body, you must be willing to make some tough changes.
Active and Passive immunity
To strengthen your body's immune system, you first need to understand what it does and how it works. Once you realize how much your immune system protects you, it will be much easier for you to make the necessary adjustments.
Some things in life are detrimental to your immune system; if you indulge in them, you must stop. Smoking and alcohol consumption are at the top of the list here, which probably will not shock you. However, there are other substances that you need to avoid, which we will discuss later.
The ideal diet provides the nutrients and vitamins your body's immune system needs to stay in top shape and fight for you. Changing your diet is a big step, but if you are eating the wrong things, you need to do it for the sake of your immune system.

Active immunity
Active immunity occurs when direct contact with a disease-causing microorganism causes the immune system to produce antibodies against that disease. Active immunity can be achieved through natural immunity or vaccine-induced immunity.
Natural immunity is acquired through direct exposure to the microorganism when infected with the disease.
Vaccine-induced immunity is acquired by introducing an eliminated or damaged species of the disease organism through vaccination.
In both cases, the immune system of a person who encounters the disease in the future will recognize it and quickly produce the necessary antibodies to eliminate it. Active immunity is permanent and often lifelong.
Mild immunity
Mild immunity is when people are supplied with antibodies to a disease rather than having their immune system make them.
