About this ebook
Buried deep beneath the outskirts of the city, the London catacombs are known for being as beautiful as they are eerie.
In the 1800s, seven garden cemeteries were built outside London. Called the Magnificent Seven, they each came with special vaults called catacombs. A wave of cholera had swept London, and the catacombs were supposed to help keep the city clean and safe. But could they have made people sick too? The catacombs closed over time. But from vandalism to vampires, the cemeteries and their catacombs continued to be a hot spot for theories. Dig deep underground to learn about the London catacombs, and find out more about their sickly past, mysterious present, and possible future return.
