THIS COMPANION VOLUME to Jamil: Child of Light – Messenger of God was originally compiled in 1973, the same year the main manuscript was published. Now, on the 60 th anniversary of Jamil’s passing and after a lapse of forty-nine years, we are again pleased to offer this series of six moving and inspirational impressions of this miraculous Child of Light from individuals who knew, met, and personally experienced him. Together with this foreword, and his natal chart compiled by the esteemed astrologer and mystic Myra Kingsley, these commentaries serve to convey the living story of Jamil.

Jamil was an actual person who lived, taught and passed out of our world in 1962 high in the Callejón de Huaylas near Peru’s highest peak, Huascarán. The book Jamil: Child of Light – Messenger of God recounts his remarkable life and is one of the most intriguing and unusual books ever written. A true story and deeply moving, it describes the short life of a most remarkable and extraordinary personage – a wondrous and esteemed Emissary of Light who, from a spiritual point of view, can be compared to The Buddha and Jesus Christ.

I had the privilege of knowing everyone associated with these commentaries. As a boy, I met and knew them all, including the astrologer Myra Kingsley, who also compiled my natal chart. (I was also privileged to have met in 1984 Oscar Egusquiza, referred to as the hunchback in the book Jamil.) And, perhaps it goes without saying, Jamil’s natural father was also mine.

The people who wrote these inspirational commentaries were people not unlike you and me. They were seekers of universal truths, sensitives and mystics, and they yearned for spiritual enlightenment. In their own words, you will read how Jamil was surrounded by rays of light emanating from out of his eyes – the light encompassing his whole being. You will read how he sometimes communicated wordlessly from his deep blue eyes. And you will read the impressions Jamil left on those who received and experienced his very special presence.
