The participants within this study were chosen and asked if they would like to participate. The writer spent a short time explaining the purpose of the research, the couple’s responsibility, as well as what they could possibly expect. Couples were required to be married for over ten years, have at least one child within their family, and consider their marriage of having expectations. The writer then had the couples complete two questions essay separately that asked why they had expectations before marriage. This was asked of five couples which they were given the questions.
The outcome of the essays was then read and reviewed which gave the writer a better understanding about his research. The conclusion will address the value of future studies dealing with this topic.
