About this ebook

Not intended to replace but to complement, this is a summary book of Red-Handed by Peter Schweizer, the New York Times best selling author. In his quarter-century as an investigative journalist, Peter Schweizer claims that this is the most terrifying investigation he has ever dared to tackle.

It's hardly surprising that the Chinese government wants to penetrate American organizations. The amount of American elites prepared to assist the Chinese regime in its ambition for global hegemony, on the other hand, is entirely new.

Presidential families, Silicon Valley geniuses, Wall Street high rollers, Ivy League colleges, and even professional sportsmen are all prepared to put personal gain ahead of national security.

Six-time New York Times bestselling investigator Peter Schweizer reveals his most shocking revelations to date in Red-Handed, showing the covert transactions made by affluent Americans to assist China expand its military, technical, and economic strength. Moreover, many of these elites secretly feel that China's dictatorship is preferable than American democracy.

Schweizer and his team of forensic investigators combed through a large archive of worldwide company documents and court files for almost a year in order to uncover the covert transactions that China's facilitators thought would never be revealed. And, as Schweizer's previous exposés such as Profiles in Corruption, Secret Empires, and Clinton Cash shown, bad actors exist on both sides of the political divide.

Red-Handed will uncover the power link between the Chinese government and the American elites who do its bidding. It will be exhaustively researched, crisply delivered, and scary.

    ABOUT RED-HANDED

Conclusions from a forensic examination of China's infiltration of the US via American elites are documented in Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win. The book examines how American elites and institutions have benefited greatly from their access to Chinese officials and financial backing, mostly at the price of free expression. Speaking out against the totalitarian system risks losing access and earnings. The book examines the American sectors that have been penetrated, including elites from Washington D.C., Wall Street, Silicon Valley, Ivy League institutions, political diplomacy, and political dynasties. The book proposes answers to the issues raised by this infiltration, but it emphasizes that this will need collaboration from the media, stockholders, and politicians who are rejecting Beijing's seductive song.

    CHAPTER 1 The Rope

Capitalists furnish credit which serve for the support of the Communist Party. They supply materials and technical equipment which the Communists lack and restore their military industry needed for future attacks. To put it another way, they will focus on preparing for their own social and political suicide. The author claims that although Lenin's Soviet Union has disintegrated, the Leninist worldview has not. When we use the term Beijing, we are really referring to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) rather than the Chinese people. Silicon Valley, Wall Street, and Washington, according to the author, are selling the rope to hang themselves to Beijing. In this sense, the rope refers to the technology, money, information, and political assistance provided to the communist dictatorship, all of which help Beijing's military and strategic capabilities. The conventional belief for decades has been that China will liberalize and that it would not be a danger to the Western world, but rather a Western want-to-be. As a result, China gained access to open commerce, technology, and American finance to become more like the United States. This mindset has spread into a new establishment consensus, which is benefiting many American elites.

Beijing has been more than delighted to support this erroneous idea to further their own political goal. China has been more belligerent and oppressive over time, rather than liberalized. However, the Chinese government has been provided legitimacy by the American elite, who are rewarded with massive financial agreements because of successful attempts to effectively pay off members of a country's leadership. Beijing built links with
