      The murder of Vickie Zielinski was brutal. She had been raped, but it was her nose and jaw being fractured that revealed the brutality of her murder. Someone had murdered her in such a manner, and police believed they had their suspect less than 24 hours later.

      Eddie Smith was a friend of Joe’s. He had grown up around Bergen County, and was always getting in trouble. He had quit or been fired from all sorts of jobs, and now he was out of work again.
