    In this books we use the standard tuning (low to high):

    E - A - D - G - B - E

    Explanation of the tab

    (01) half note - 2 beats long

    (02) 1/8 notes - 2 notes per beat

    (03) Barline

    (04) Dotted note value - longer by half

    (05) 1/4 notes - 1 notes per beat

    (06) 1/1 rest - one bar long

    (07) 1/2 rest - 2 beats long

    (08) 1/4 rest - 1 beat long

    (09) 1/8 rest - 1/2 beat long

    The numbers on the six lines (strings) indicate the fret that is gripped.
