Away with words

Courage

This book is taking every bit of courage I’ve so carefully crafted over the years.  These are my thoughts, brought to life through my fingertips.  I welcome you to take a stroll through the mountains that are my mentality.  Running through the ups and downs of love & heartbreak, of overcoming the depression that is that of the daily sunset. 

These poems are from all of the different paths I’ve chosen to walk in my life thus far.  Over time I realized I have a way with words.  Not only do I write poetry but I write journalism and stories, but poetry is my favorite thing to do.

A hopeless romantic, A rebel, A radical, A sister, A mother, A friend, A wombman, A daughter.  I will share with you some of my deepest thoughts.

Introduction

Diary like writing

Where instincts kick in

Tending to inspiration

Filling in the cracks

With words

Playfully poetic

Sending chills

Through the genetics

Creativity expressed

Chasing dreams

No one sees

But still i write

Knowing the purpose

Is bigger than me

Drinking tea

Leaving coffee behind

Sublime reasons for

Eliminating the smoke from my mind

Clear headed

Recognizing the time

Shredded

Pacing past reality

Attention given to me

Fallacies

You were never meant to see me

You can only imagine

A wombman like me

Once I arrived

You couldn’t bring

Yourself
