With the advancement of smart technology, almost anyone can use Google now that they can access the internet using an internet-capable device.

    Research

    Research and development staff at Google focus on technologies that could have long-term value. The company pumps a sizeable portion of its enormous profits into this area. At the time of publication, Google Glass is the most high-profile wearable computer, a pair of glasses mounted with a computer that reacts to whatever the wearer sees. As part of its research, Google has also developed driverless cars that operate independently of humans to move from one place to another.

    Advertising opportunities

    Google's search results provide businesses and consumers with a means to advertise to highly targeted audiences. Search-based results enable small businesses to target only those people who have expressed a desire for a particular product or service through Google's AdWords service.
