Modern Day Psalmist

About this ebook
I have known Daniel since the day he gave his life to Jesus Christ, and I have seen God truly transform his life. He has overcome a myriad of obstacles and continues to press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. His writings are a reflection of the narrow and difficult road he has traveled toward the abundant life which Christ died to give him. As you read this book, I hope that you will be as inspired, empowered and encouraged to overcome every obstacle life brings your way, and to live your life completely for Christ.
Alfred D. Watts

INTRODUCTION
I am blessed to see that God has enabled Daniel to write his fifth book. Daniel’s poetry has been a source of inspiration for me and others for many years. On several occasions, I have received a poem on a Sunday evening which the Lord inspired Daniel to write during one of my sermons. I am always amazed at his uncanny ability to compile the words and pen the thoughts that capture the essence of what others are feeling, but find it difficult to say.

OPENING PRAYER
We all have a role to play in God’s plan. We are actors in His very own play, and the places we go to and things that go on in each of our lives, are merely parts of His scenery. My prayer for you is that as you read through this book that you would be encouraged, encouraged to reach for all that God has for you.
There will be times when you will experience sorrow or even pain, but know that it is all a part of His plan to make you stronger. My hope for you is that God would speak to you as only He can through the pages which follow. I also pray that you would come to discover the role which He has laid out just for you.
You are a letter… written not with pen and ink but with the Spirit of the Living God (2 Corinthians 3:3)
JOY STEALER
Father, I need You
As I awoke this morning
I felt so weak
like there wasn’t even a point to get out of bed
Even as I sit here writing out these words
which You are speaking to me
I feel so defeated
so much so that I don’t feel that I can go on
Lord, You are my Comforter
You are my peace through the rain
and at this time the tears are forming within
but haven’t yet come to the surface
I ask You now Sweet Jesus
my One and only Precious Savior
as the enemy tries to convince me
that nothing will ever change
that all I’ll ever do is
remain right here watching as life goes by
Lord be my Peace
Lord speak Your
