About this ebook
A man's ignorance is his own mountain; but the knowledge and understanding of the truth which is based on the living Word of God; birthed and breathed by the Holy Spirit will always deliver, direct and prosper to give your life meaningful success with fulfilment.
REVD CHUKIE MORSI, a Bible Teacher, pastor, publisher, spiritual advisor, consultant and now author, has delved into this mesage in a didactic manner. The intention of this book, TRIUMPH IN READING THE WORD is to emancipate individuals and the church from the famine of hearing the Word of God in the midst of challenges...
Amos 8:11-13 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst of water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. And they shall wander form sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the Word of the Lord, and shall not find it. In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.
This book is written to awaken you to the need for knowledge, understanding and wisdom in doing life and dealing with the falsehood of dogmatism and Methodism through religious traditions and doctrinal misfits that have held people in the clusters of ignorance and bondage. In order to rule in the midst of your enemies (Psalms 110:2) and reign in life triumphantly and in dominion (Romans 5:17; 2 Corinthians 2:14), this book is the believers synergy towards it.
Acts 20:32 "So now brethren, I commend you to God & to the Word of His grace which is able to build you up & give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified."

The Commendation Quests
Acts 20:32
"So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified"
The Knowing Quests
Philippians 3:9-14
"And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; ¹⁰ that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, ¹¹ if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. ¹² Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. ¹³ Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, ¹⁴ I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
The Conscience Quests
Acts 24:16
"This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men."
39720.pngI PRAY Oh Lord!
In your name, may the longings and spirit yearnings of my heart, go with this book to awaken the individual in faith and spirit, and to strengthen your Church with inspiration, revelation and empowerment. And by the effectual working of the Holy Spirit in the living Word of God, that through this book they may know you as the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent, for this is life eternal, as in the scripture of John 17:3.
Thank you Lord and in Jesus' Name, Amen.
39723.pngALWAYS KNOW AND REMEMBER
• That other Books may inform you, but the WORD of God - The Holy Bible - is the only authoritative, unadulterated and undiluted timeless book that is both informative and transformative for yesterday, today and tomorrow.
• That it is not enough to KNOW the WORD. In order to be able to rightly apply the WORD you must endeavour and strive to UNDERSTAND what you know of the WORD. This will enable you to live in TRIUMPH, in VICTORY, in SUCCESS, in DOMINION and as MORE THAN A CONQUEROR.
• That the Bible can only cease to be a MYSTERY book and becomes a MESSAGE: Blessed Information Bringing Life Eternal, when one finds the key that unlocks the mystery through READING. For GOD is only a MYSTERY when His PERSON and WAYS are not known -- Psalms 103:7
First Words
- My Story -
38078.pngI gave my life to Christ Jesus at the age of 11. I was privileged to attend a mission school without having a Christian background as it was one of their entrance requirements in those days.
My family was into idol worship with all forms of demonic acts and bondages. I had no knowledge of the truth of God's word to guide me in life. At the age of eleven during my last year in primary school in 1975, I had a very special encounter with Jesus through an emotional hymn in class during religious study. The words of the Mission School's hymn went something like this There is a friend for little children, above the bright blue sky, a friend who never changes, whose love can never die; unlike our friends by nature, who change with changing years, this friend is always worthy, what precious name He bears . . .
. As my class teacher played the music on a stereo and as I held the hymn book, I perceived an awe of gentle touch of peace of what I now know to be Christ's wonderful hand. I left the school wondering, what had happened to me on that day. I told no member of my family. After the experience, I became zealous and attended the Mission School Church services every Sunday.
It was not until September 1975 when I left primary to secondary school to start my year 7 in a boarding school when I truly understood what had happened to me earlier in year 6. Thanks to God, the Holy Bible was part of the books in the prospectus required for me to have both as a boarding student and for my religions education subject. Having and owning a Bible of my own was such a great, great joy to me. It was one book that was precious, that I cherished and kept as safe as I could more than any of my other books, simply because it was written -- HOLY BIBLE -- on the cover.
Apart from the use of the Bible during the religious education classes, subsequent use during attendance of an interdenominational Christian fellowship, the Scripture Union, were very helpful. I developed a studious heart for the Bible as in other of my subject books as I began to understand what had happened to me when I gave my all to Christ the previous year. The essence of reading the Bible was not so intense until I came on holiday to find a local Church that I started to attend in order to keep my new found faith alive. On the day that I left home to find the local Church -- Church of God Mission International (CGMi) - to be precise, my Dad who had expected me home early from the Orthodox Church, came out looking for me. He was not best pleased.
Anyway, I had gone to a Pentecostal Church whose services took about three hours unlike the 45mins in the Orthodox Church that I was attending at the Mission's primary school. When my Dad found out, he was not happy and that became the beginning of the confrontation of my new faith in Christ with the idolatry of my family at that time. I had lot of questions that I needed to ask in my new Church. A lot of people that I asked had no sufficient knowledge on the field of idol worship. Considering the level of spiritual warfare I had to deal with in my family due to the idolatry and the witch doctors involved, a lack of knowledge and understanding would have meant absolute destruction for me at that tender age of 12.
I knew then, that it was my responsibility to know and understand God's word if I had to preserve my faith to serve God through Christ Jesus, to help and give hope and direction to the other ten members in my family. We are eleven in my family, nine children and our parents and I am the eldest of the children. Thanks to God who always answers prayers, when I asked him to teach me His Word and guide me in the reading of the Word by the Holy Spirit, the Lord took the challenge and there begins the journey of my intense longing, to read, search and study the Word. In fact, to the glory of God, the eventual victory obtained in my family to lay down idolatry and embrace Christ was because of the knowledge and understanding I had received in the course of my reading. It made me
