What is the Vertical Diet?
The Vertical Diet is one that is based on nutritious whole foods that are dense in nutrients, originally developed by Stan Efferding to assist athletes to make their bodies more efficient at digesting and absorbing the nutrients from the foods they consume in order to improve a person’s muscle growth, gut health, metabolism and recovery.
Red meats and rice are the primary components of the Vertical Diet, due to red meat being a higher quality protein source than other types of meat along with its higher levels of micronutrients and white rice as the Vertical Diets main source of carbohydrates as it is easy to consume and takes little to no time for the body to digest making it easier for athletes to consume more carbohydrates and calories,
