About this ebook
Forever Etched In Me is a collection of poetry about the highs and lows of young love. It'll take you to the peaks of mountains, and ask you to dance in fields of flowers. It's raw and sweet, just like the sticky

This book is dedicated to a rock climber:
You showed me how to fall in love with life
and gave me my first taste of freedom,
as well as peace.
Both of which led my ink stained heart
to the mountains within yours.
Thank you my love, for being my muse.
I wish you everything your heart desires and then some;
Never go in search of love, go in search of life, and life will find you the love you seek.
- Atticus
Teenagers
We drink,
we do drugs,
and fall madly in love;
but don't you know
that this is all a show.
We're hurting inside
and can't let it go.
If you follow
our love will grow.
Maybe it's because someone died today,
or even yesterday.
Maybe it's because someone is starving today,
or was put in prison
for the wrong reasons yesterday.
Our parents tell us,
You're just young you don't know anything
Oh don't you know
we know more than you,
with the shit that we've been through.
Gen Z
This is our generation.
The rules that the people of before have set,
have worn us down
and made us tired.
The old ways must be changed.
Try and come at us.
We dare you.
Because we are young
you act as if this is a game
and you'll surely win.
I assure you,
we’re not playing.
We are here.
Here to forever change it all.
As We Fall
Can you not see them falling?
Falling off the edge of oblivion.
Can you see their anger hiding
behind the flames and their tears
washed away by the rain?
Where do we go from here?
Oh, can't you see us?
Can you not see us falling?
You hate what you don't know.
Oh honey, come and join the show.
You can fall along with us, but you say
I'm scared to fall.
What you don't know
is that we have parachutes
on our backs and you would've known,
if you had given the lost a chance.
First Love
I didn’t comprehend it then
but you, dad, were terrified of me.
Scared of a six-year old little girl.
You were terrified of my voice.
You were the first love of my life.
Or at least you were supposed to be,
but love doesn’t treat you
the way you treated me.
You silenced me.
Even though you were gone
I continued in silence.
My voice is raw and pure
because I’ve never used it.
You let me be there,
but then became afraid I’d tell what I saw.
I lost my voice.
I didn’t know it was okay to speak.
I searched for you in many ways
trying to replace the hole you left,
but that hole can only be filled by me.
By a little girl who lost her way and her voice.
Beginning
She didn't know if she wanted to fly
or stay grounded.
She didn't know how her life would turn out.
Yet, she knew one thing.
She knew that she wanted someone
to inspire her,
before she fell in love with them.
So she waited and she waited.
Until one day,
she met a boy behind a grocery store .
The stars in their eyes knew that they were it.
Because as the two of them
looked at each other that first time,
they smiled because they knew.
New Love
Maybe it's the way you laugh,
or the way you smile.
Maybe it's how you look at me,
or the way you see the world.
