WHY IS THIS BOOK FOR YOU?
Mankind is suffering its greatest identity crisis in history. One reason for this is lack of discipline. If you think about that goal that you’ve always wanted to reach, you probably haven’t achieved it yet because you haven’t been disciplined.
But if discipline is so good, why does it slip through our fingers? Perhaps this book is the missing incentive.
Once discipline becomes part of your life, you are irretrievably destined for success. The math is simple. Just add a dose of discipline to an area of life that you want to change, and you’ll end up with much more than what you have right now.
For example, if you add discipline to your finances, you’ll have much more success in your financial life; if you add discipline to your health, you will have a healthier body; if you add discipline to your spiritual life, you will have a much stronger faith and fellowship with God. Everything you add discipline to will result in triumph.
Rest assured that success is the fate of the disciplined; you can’t escape it when exercising discipline. Though discipline is not easy in a world where most people are careless, we need different actions to obtain new results. So, for starters, work hard at the teachings recorded in this book and see the difference you desire so much in your life.
CapaTHE BENEFITS OF DISCIPLINE
Now no discipline seems to be joyful at the time, but grievous. Yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness in those who have been trained by it.
Hebrews 12:11
The time for discipline is not a time for joy. This is discipline’s greatest problem. It provokes feelings of sadness, discouragement, and procrastination, which is why most people reject it. But for intelligent men, discipline means opportunities. Since most dislike it, it leaves more opportunities for the few who love it. If you love discipline, you’re destined for success.
Whoever rejects discipline is emotional, meaning that they give in to feelings — and every emotional person is weak. But those who love discipline don’t pay attention to the temporary sadness it produces. Instead, they focus on the harvest of all that is good and fair for whoever is trained by it. This is what you need to focus on, for active discipline will inevitably bring you success. This happens even when it comes to justice. You have subjected yourself to the rigours of discipline, it’s only fair that you have better results than those who reject it. Remember this: discipline means consistently doing what you don’t want to do to get what you want.
You will feel discouraged. You will hear a voice saying, Leave it for later. You can’t do it now, you don’t have time for it.
And even if you are able to overcome that voice of discouragement during the activity where
