Introduction

***Introduction***

Life? The struggles of life are all around us.  Day in, and day out we all continue with these struggles that surround us.  Why do some people seem to be extremely well developed with the circumstance they find themselves in, while others seem to be hindered by some invisible force that no one understands, yet some are ready, sometimes, to condemn these unfortunate souls, yet there is something that ties us all together in this world we live in.  Some people have a strong belief in God while others deny the presence or existence of God.  If there is no God then how do we explain all that there is, that is unexplained?  How do we explain the good and the bad, the divine and the evil, we as mere humans can’t explain these complicated issues, but, the evidence around us points to a divine creator, but some people always seem to find something or someone different than the real God to give them reasonable explanation of what they want to hear, they will continue to search throughout their life until finally they find a creative theory or idea that they can rest on, whether it is true or false they don’t care, it is their idea and thought and they find comfort in it.

No matter what other people’s position is about the world we live in, whether we evolved or were created, I will stand on the Word of God, in that He created all that there is and did it from nothing.  Because of sin, which contaminated all of God’s perfect creation, the world we see and live in is in a fallen state.  This is not the world that God created and wanted for us.  The evilness, from the dark places, is a world or dimension we can’t see or understand, at this time, but it caused the fall of this world.  If I pretend, as some people do, that everything is OK, I only deceive myself.  The Christian doctrine would not be complete without the bibles statement concerning sin.  The world around me accepts this world as it is and does not believe in a better place and they deny the existence of sin, but this philosophy is incorrect and they only present themselves with Satan’s lies.  The sin in our life’s and in the world we all live in is not a myth or a figment of the imagination, it is a fact.  All refusal to admit the existence of sin can neither be disputed nor challenged.

Over the next few chapters we will look into the depths of sin with the intent to show you, the reader, that sin is very real, and it has and never had, anything in it that God approved of.  I guess some people look at life as a giant chess board or game between God and Satan and they are playing for the souls of men.  This is so untrue, man will look at things in life and try to convince himself that it is just the way things are, but the condition of things was caused by an action of disobedience better known as a sin.  Things continue to worsen because the sinfulness of sin continues to grow.  The condition of the world is because of sin, but man continues with his disobedience towards God and feeds the sinfulness just like gas feeds a fire. 

As we continue here with this introduction I want to say that God has an invisible line, border or area that only He can see and understand, but when man gets so wicked that God determines that man has reached that invisible mark, wherever it may be, then He is going to act, the prophecy of the bible, that the world thinks is mythology will come to pass.  This sin that consumes our world is an enemy of God.  You should know that God is holy and righteous and the mere glory of His being is brighter than the sun.  The sun has a time limit on its existence, even though it may be a billion years before it dies, are whatever, God has no time limit.  He is the great I Am, that I Am, the Alpha and the Omega.  He and He alone knows the beginning from the ending.  He will or can never die out.  Because of sin, that originated with Lucifer, who was cast down as Satan, and passed this sin on to Eve, who he deceived and then to Adam. This brought spiritual and physical death to Adam and all his linage throughout the history of this world, we as a populace are doomed to the lake of fire and brimstone that will burn somewhere in eternity forever and ever because of this sin.  That is the consequence of sin.  God has never had any part of sin, it is against everything that God is and God will not change, His very nature of who He is, that no one can understand, is separate from sin.  He as God, and us as man, have nothing in common because of this sin.  In the beginning we were with God and fellowshipped with Him daily, but this sin that we have inherited because of Adam and Eve has made us orphans to our heavenly Father. 

God has a nature that is complicated and impossible to understand because, in our human form, we are blinded against the truth of all that was before sin.  Through sin we are grouped with Satan and are connected with him in his existence of sin and evil.  I know that some might not be believers and are reading this, you might not see or understand what this is all about.  The bible teaches that because of sin, Satan has blinded and deafened the unbelievers against the truth, and that is the problem with understanding God. But we as believers are under the victory of Jesus Christ and Satan cannot blind us, we belong to Jesus.

Second Corinthians 4:4. In their case (unbelievers) the god of this world (Satan) has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. Italics are mine.

Now through this book we will explore our sin, the nature, origin and just everything we know about sin.  There are a lot of theological big worded explanations of sin and the cure for it and that’s great, but there are people in this world that need to know this information in simple everyday terms that might give them a clear and precise explanation of what the curse of man is, and the fact that our sin leads to the second death, which is a spiritual death.  People are curious about such things even when others feel they are not.  Did you know that there is no one living that would come right out and say, Can I be put in the lake of fire to burn and suffer forever and ever? Not anyone I know anyway.  The reason people don’t change is because they will not accept the situation of sin.  We, all of us, have the same ability as for as making decisions of believing or not believing, but why can’t the unbeliever see like the believer?  God must be sought, spiritually, now this would require one to believe there is a God, and some do not believe because of their circumstance.  God would draw them to Himself if only they would overcome the lie that Satan presents to them.  Mostly people would never believe a liar, but in this case they believe the lie because it is easier to remain in the darkness than to recognize the light. 

John 1:4-5. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5) And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Men want to be in the dark where they think they can hide their sin and sinfulness.  God knows all things, there is nowhere in the earth, under the earth or even in the universe you can hide your sin.  We lay naked before our God, He knows everything about everybody, and nothing is a secret to Him.

Yes God sees the sin and sinfulness of this world and is unhappy and displeased with it.  One day His Grace is going to change to judgment and then the world of sin will know who He is.  God has one thing in mine, love for us as we do the best we can to glorify Him, but a day is coming that God will bring glory and honor to Himself by reaching out with a mighty hand of judgment against sin and the world. He will glorify Himself and lift Himself up on high.

As I have said many times before, today is the day of your salvation, not tomorrow. We have no guarantee that tomorrow will even come. God is available today, this very minute, for you and for me to pray and ask forgiveness and repent of our sin. Yes I, even though I am a Christian, must pray and ask forgiveness for any sin that be in me.  I live in a filthy place of sin and have to renew myself daily.  This world is a place of sin and belongs to the devil.  The day will soon be coming that God will restore His creation, He promised, He will deliver.  May God Bless you and yours.

Definition and Origin of Sin

How would one define sin?  It might be looked at figuratively as a buzzard among the eagles.  It is a culprit of evil in amongst the church of saints. We as humans may look at sin as something not in compliance with the law of the land or something similar to that.  I feel that in order to understand the definition of sin we must look at where it originated, from where and when it arrived in coming to us.  First we must realize and understand sin is not man made.  Even though many people do not address their sinful condition or even read the bible or maybe don’t even care about this, there is a part of them somewhere that cares about their condition involving sin.  There has to be a sense of consciousness about sin or else everyone would be doing more evil than they do.  This does not apply to everyone because everyone is not the same.  Some people have no consciousness or emotions about life or even care anything about life.  They exist in a darkness that most cannot comprehend or understand, we sit back and wonder how could this be, how can people be so evil and mean.

Sin.  Not man made?  Where then is it from?  Sin was in the darkness mentioned in Genesis, the first book of the bible, it was in the creation before man was created, and originating with an Angel named Lucifer, probably the most beautiful and powerful of the angels.  When I think of God and His creation of different events, I know He knew Lucifer was going to fall from righteousness, yet He allowed it.  All this happened in the dark before light was created, I think it was before earth or the universe was created.  Let me say at this point that sin is in the Bible as a transgression of the law of God.

First John 3:4. Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

And rebellion against God.

Deuteronomy 9:7. "Remember! Do not forget how you provoked the Lord your God to wrath in the wilderness. From the day that you departed from the land of Egypt until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against the Lord.

Joshua 1:18. Whoever rebels against your command and does not heed your words, in all that you command him, shall be put to death. Only be strong and of good courage."

Now because of Lucifer, this great angel created by God and probably was with God in the beginning, desired to be higher than God, and that was his downfall and the beginning of sin. Isaiah 14:12-15.

The fall of Lucifer

12) "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!  How you are cut down to the ground,

You who weakened the nations!  13) For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north;  14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,

I will be like the Most High.’  15) Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit.

Lucifer being cast down, as described above, was renamed Satan, he is the one that brought sin to the human race in the Garden of Eden, by tempting Adam and Eve with the enticement, you shall be like God. Satan knew they would never be like God, he knew he was more powerful than they were and I guess he figured that if he was unable to be like or above God, these two, mere humans, didn’t stand a chance.  That is the way Satan operates, even today, he knows the truth yet he denies it, he knew that Adam and Eve would be cast down, just as he was.  God is God, and there is none other like unto Him.  After Adam and Eve’s rebellion against God and against His command about the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and God told them, don’t eat the fruit there of, and now, because of this Adam and Eve know the truth of sin.  Ever since that time in the garden, this sin that entered into the world of man has been passed down through the generations of man.  We are Adams descendants and now we inherit the Sin of Adam, from him.

Romans 5:12.  Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—

The above verse tells us that through Adams sin entered the world, and so death was passed on to all men because the wages of sin is death.

Romans 6:23.  For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
