Black Is All I See
Darkness surrounds me,
All I see is black.
Day after day,
Everything I see turns to black.
Heart of iron,
All feeling and emotions are black.
I feel no emotion.
The sun, to me is a black hole,
Turning the sky to black darkness.
All around me turns to black.
Girls, walk down the street
In sexy summer colored clothes.
I cannot look, for through my eyes,
They turn to black.
Any bright colors turn to black.
My life is surrounded by black darkness.
No one to bring light,
Only hatred towards me.
So, black is all I see in the world of color.
Hate, my life turns to black, in evil.
My life must end, the darkness must end...
Only death will change my black darkness,
To light, in wherever I may go.
Devastated World
Once so beautiful.
Beautiful no more.
Black and charred.
Burned life.
World once a glorious place.
But the people of this world,
Hatred, didn’t trust each other.
World invented weapons of destruction.
Tensions grew immensely.
Till one day, one man
Pressed the button.
The button that ended it all.
Survivors, the few there are.
You must remember.
Have your children remember.
Never allow this destruction again.
For too many innocent people have died.
All you can do is remember what once was.
For all you see now,
Is black, charred, and destroyed civilization.
Mark: Willing to Die
Mark, in the dictionary of names,
Means warrior; war like.
Perhaps that is the reason I act and feel
The way I do.
Militant at heart,
Militant in action,
Willing to fight for
What I believe is right.
Willing to die for my country.
Willing to die for my leaders.
Willing to die,
In the honor of my family.
Admiration
The man I admire most
Is my first true friend.
Even when I mocked
Your ways, you forgave me.
Sometimes I wonder why?
You are not Jesus,
But to me you could be a saint.
You’re happier without love.
While I struggle daily
To find one to love me.
Yet, I find none,
And my soul mourns.
We don’t see each other much,
And sometimes it saddens me.
Soon I’ll be leaving
And I guess I’ll never see you again.
But before I go, I want you
To know you’re a good man.
Perhaps one day, by God’s grace
We will meet once again.
I admire you my friend
For your strong belief
In your God.
While mine is a weak one.
We are both military men.
I am a Navy man.
You are an Army man.
I believe though, it is not you.
I admire your belief,
Thou shall not kill.
While I believe,
Kill or be killed.
My admiration is strong,
But you will never
Ever really know
You’re the one I admire most.
Not Jesus or God.
Not my mother or father.
Not any of my other friends.
But you, I admire most.
Farewell
My good friend I say to you,
Good-bye my friend.
I’m leaving and I’m not coming back.
Be my friend and just let me leave.
I have lived here
For nineteen long years.
The hardest time span was 16 to now.
I just have to get on the road out of here.
You see, when my friends
Turned their backs on me
I knew I had to leave
This place forever.
You, my friend, was the only one
Not to turn away.
You stayed and remained
My only true friend. Thanks.
In order for you to remain
As my good friend
You must allow me to go
Without trying to convince me to stay.
I do not know if you understand
The feelings roaming through my mind.
All I can tell you is,
It’s telling me to leave here today.
Farewell, my good friend.
Farewell, to my former friends.
Farewell, to all the women I never loved.
And farewell to all my enemies.
For now has come the time
That I must leave.
It hurts me and it saddens me
But it will be the best for us all.
Can leaving really be so hard to do?
My mind and heart is so unsure.
Who knows what can happen to me
Out there in the world, all alone.
I may find that it is all the same
In wherever I am led.
Or maybe, with the grace of God,
I’ll finally find what I’m looking for.
I, my friend, am looking
For a woman to love
And who will love me in the same way.
Whatever happens, you will remain my friend.
Once again, farewell my friend.
Farewell...
Farewell...
Farewell...
Hall of Souls
Upon my death, I sit up
And rise out of the hospital bed.
I turn and look at my bed,
Yet my body still lies there, motionless.
Then I look around the room
And I see a wooden door,
Which I’d never seen before.
I
