arriage is often seen as a quick fix for loneliness, sexual satisfaction, and childbearing. It is usually seen for the momentary happiness that comes with the roses, the flowers, wine, and colors of beautiful wedding scenery. But years into it now seems boring, the excitements die down, the flowers are now faded, no more music, no photographs, the real deals are now business, child raising, financial solutions, pains and sometimes, couples now seek a new deal to get out of the ordeal of marriage.
Marriage can continue to be a sweet experience when it is put in its right place and allowed to pursue its God-given purpose. Marriage on a Mission is a marriage that focuses on its purpose and continues to grow in its responsibilities and relationship. It has a goal that's so clear and consistent towards which every single moment of its existence is spent pursuing.
It is time to reinvent your marriage rather than trying to quit or endure. You can reinvent by reimagining what it is your marriage is set up to accomplish in you and your spouse, in the lives of your children and in the lives of all those who have been divinely placed in your life and on your path.
Some books have influenced my thoughts about marriage including the book, Delivered from Evil by Rick Joyner in which he made a reference to a marriage coach who came to a point after over 30 years of his marriage. One day, his wife said to him, ‘it is now you have become the husband of my dream’. Now everything they've had to go through, the pains, the arguments and disagreements and all the ups and downs for over thirty years until now you would consider a waste, but not so with God. All the while, God was going somewhere with their marriage through the storms, pains, and regrets. It matters ultimately that they finally get there. But imagine for a moment that you were standing there at the point of making a lifetime commitment to that person you would spend the rest of your life with and then you were so lucky (this never happens to anyone) you were told what to expect in your marriage and it is guaranteed to happen, Your spouse will not be everything you hoped for until after thirty years of your marriage
. Would you still be excited as you dance or walk down the aisle? Would you still be glad you found your God-ordained partner for life? Marriage on a Mission says you should be excited knowing that everything you will have to go through or that you are going through in your marriage are things God will use to bring out his very purpose for your life and for the life of your partner and the people around you. While you may never be told, that is exactly the unspoken promise of marriage. It is simply going somewhere, and you will have to discover it as you journey in it.
It is my utmost desire that this book will put a motion in stagnant marriages and relationships and move marriages forward in the exact direction that God has designed it to go.
While many people are jumping off the marriage train and being scared to get on board with it, God has so much in marriage that would get anyone excited to get on board and keep moving with it until they come to the divine destination of fulfillment, holiness, joy and gracefulness and resourcefulness.
God made marriage for a deeply spiritual purpose beyond the natural. Therefore, Satan always attacks marriages and tries to destroy Christian marriages and their offspring. The system of the world is continually built to oppose the purpose of marriage and to undermine the power of marriage in the earth. God established marriage to perpetuate His redemptive plan on earth through fruitfulness and dominion. The devil can’t stand that. So, he puts the marriage on his watchlist for assaults of different kinds beginning from Eden until now. His attacks include divorce, perversion of the definition of marriage, sexual malpractices inside and outside of the marriage, children disobedience and rebellion, and so on. He fights the marriage seed system, but God has also made a provision that will crush the head of the Enemy and its seed. Marriage on a Mission is set to awaken the world to the power and purpose of marriage as God’s instrument of redemption on the earth. This is the truth of the Word of God that sets free. No one should ever remain ignorant of the devises of the enemy or of the provision of God that fortifies the marriage relationship against the onslaughts of the wicked one. This Book is set to prevent couples from ignorantly lending a helping hand to the devil in his attempts to frustrate the holiness of marriage and the fulfillment of its missions in their lives, the lives of their children and in the world around them.

he Purpose Driven Life by Pastor Rick Warren did spark a great deal of thinking about purpose. I believe we need a book on the Purpose Driven Marriage and here is one. You will be right to think of your marriage in the light of the Purpose Driven Life.
As a young Baptist student, I grew in the student fellowship where we had a lot of marriage seminars that alerted us to the dangers of getting married to the wrong person in life. They
