ENERGY UNDERGROUND
Where does the electricity and heat in your home come from? Most of the energy people use now comes from fossil fuels. We burn gas, coal, and oil. But these forms of energy cause pollution, and they will eventually run out. What if you could heat your home with water from the ground instead? People do this in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The town uses wells that tap into underground water. This water is naturally hot. Hot water is piped under some roads and sidewalks. Its heat energy melts snow.
