The first arc of The Sun Aegis ends here!
Series Synopsis:
~ Once more, a knight sets forth, hoping to regain something that she had lost - justice. ~
Anna's mentor, Isabelle, had always taught her that being a knight was about justice and protecting the people.
But, that was a long time ago.
Now, a new king has been crowned, and he cares naught for justice nor his people. Ordered to do so, Anna reluctantly joins the other human knights in a campaign to massacre and drive out the werewolves, the merfolk, and the vampires - destroying the peace between the four species.
Having lost her way, Anna continues fighting for this rotten king. That is, until she fell in battle.
As she laid there, on the battlefield, an unexpected saviour whisks her far away.
Having been given a second chance, and no longer bound to that rotten king, Anna sets out to find her way back to the justice that she had lost - hoping to atone for her sins, and to protect the people from the king.

About and Credits
Prologue: Back to the Cottage
Anna!
a voice called out to me from behind.
Good evening, Camille,
I said. I turned away from my cooking, and greeted her with a smile.
I had made my way back to Camille's cottage, and was preparing dinner for the both of us.
Welcome back,
Camille said, returning my smile with her own, I'm sorry that I wasn't there to greet you.
That's alright,
I said, as I turned back to my cooking I knew that you would be asleep, since it was afternoon when I arrived, so I let myself in.
I stirred the pot while asking, I hope that I'm not intruding?
Of course not,
Camille said, that's why I gave you the key.
Thank you,
I said, smiling.
Camille walked up behind me and placed her hands on my shoulders. She caught a whiff of my cooking and smiled.
You must be tired after your journey,
Camille said, as she gently rubbed my shoulders, You didn't have to go through the trouble of cooking.
Of course, I did,
I said, You haven't had anything else except for chicken blood for a while.
Camille stopped rubbing my shoulders. A little stunned, she asked, How did you…?
A little grin appeared on my face, When I came back, I saw that you didn't have any food stored up anymore.
Camille chuckled, So you decided to go into town and get some ingredients to cook for me?
I blushed a little, Yes.
Thank you,
Camille said, smiling, I look forward to dinner tonight.
***
That night, Camille and I enjoyed dinner together, as we had done many months ago.
After dinner, as we relaxed by the fire, I even told her a few stories about what I had been doing since we had last seen each other – just like those nights when we had first met. However, this time, the stories were ones that I could be proud of.
I told her about meeting the werewolf pack up north, and forming an alliance between a human village and that pack of werewolves. I told her about how we had to go to the capital to rescue Freya and the others. And I told her about how I had met
