    Chapter One

The early hours. of the morning saw Jason perched on the foot of his bed, head in hands. He was sat in deep concentration, recalling everything that was taking place. His sister Alison decided she wanted to go to university and train as a nurse when she left school. And Emily Louise, the baby of the family, would be celebrating her fifth birthday in a few weeks’ time and it wouldn’t be long before she started school.

Jason was worried about Wayne; he’d confided he was being bullied by some of his classmates at school because he didn’t like sports or have a girlfriend.

When the alarm went off, Jason decided to make a dash to the bathroom before anyone else beat him to it. He was in and out of the shower in less than ten minutes, but before he had time to dry off, Alison was banging on the door telling him to get a move on.

    He
