      Mommy’s boys

      The modern world includes many men who permanently stay in the status of boys, mommy’s boys. Ostensibly they are trying to be real men, asserting themselves in major issues; and yet they often remain irresponsible in many nuanced things. Such supermen are afraid of an adult relationship with a woman who is next to them.

      Men who are pickup artists

      Pickup artists are men who aim to seduce as many women as possible. Such a member of the stronger sex is not interested in the age, appearance, or the inner world of his victim, the important thing is to get her in bed.

      A professional strand of pickup artists has emerged in the United States at the end of the twentieth century. Experienced smooth operators charged a fee to teach shy lads the art of flirtation and seduction. Today, pickup artistry has spread all around the world. Upon paying a certain amount, any man can master the tried and tested technology and go on the hunt for unsuspecting women.

      Some of the ladies might find the transient romance to suit their taste. But pickup artists are, of course, not suitable for long-term lasting relationships. To avoid becoming a victim of a professional, one needs to clock him as need as quickly as possible, then send him on his way. Most likely you are seeing a pickup artist if he:

      - initiates the first conversation in an unusual way. He does not say hello, does not ask for a name or number. (A professional typically has his own trick, a catchy non-standard phrase designed to impress and get stuck in memory. But the classics work too: Could you tell me in what movie I could have seen such a beautiful girl? Could I have an autograph? Only a rare girl would not smile in return and continue the acquaintance).

      - introduces himself in a special location, in circumstances ideal for the task (usually in youth bars and night clubs, less often in shopping malls or on the street);

      - is dressed in a stylish and catchy way, stands out among normal men with his clothing (shows off a high status and material success, and to do this, will be sure to emphasize that he has arrived by car);

      - is well learned, has an excellent sense of humor and tact (standing out among others of his gender who are not very talkative and often tongue-tied);

      - touches you (immediately after meeting a young woman, a pickup artist, as if by chance, touches her hand, puts an arm around her, playfully straightens out a curl of her hair, accompanying this action with a non-standard compliment);

      - does not treat you with any meals (pickup art has a principle of getting a woman without spending anything on her, so all he can offer are admiring glances, compliments, handsome speeches);

      - disappears after meeting you (after gaining a good disposal or even a crush from his victim, accompanied with her
