About this ebook

This non-enticing but spiritually-captivating compilation has touched the lives of many people all over the world and is intended to touch your life. Rather unconventional, Quickword is based on the truth that Gods Word does not respect time, space, distance, or any other barrier to make the desired impact.

Inspired by the dwindling faith of many Christians to be bold and truthful in the wake of political correctness, Quickword is designed to strengthen the believer and remind them of the core areas of our faith. It will also reveal the truth to unbelievers. I invite you to read on and refocus on eternal things.

    What about Me?

With profound gratitude, I dedicate this book to the people who believed I could do this despite my own unbelief. First, to my wife, Chika, who has always stood by me through all my Elijah mood swings. Second, to my father, Dr. Ben N. Nwaochei, who initially sowed the idea of Quickword in my head and further confirmed it at Jerusalem. His consistent conviction that Quickword should be a book inspired me to publish.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

    —Hebrews 4:12

    We Can Do Nothing

Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight. Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness. Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.

    —Psalm 119:33–37

Here we can see David asking God to teach and guide him in all these various aspects of life we strive to do with all our might. David is asking God because he is wise enough to know that we can do nothing without God. In John 15:5, Jesus says, for without Me ye can do nothing. Nothing means nothing!

This means we cannot breathe, eat, smile, cry, drive cars, buy clothes, or do any other thing we claim we do without Him. In Matthew 19:26, he confirms it by saying, With God all things are possible. And in Philippians 4:13, God’s Word says, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

So we see that we cannot do anything without God and can do all things with Him. How do you acknowledge Him in all you do? Do you give Him thanks in all circumstances? Do you realize that you need to depend on Him for everything you do? You may be planning for a vacation and may have told the whole world. But have you told God?

Take today out and acknowledge God in all things and do so continually. Acts 17:28 says, For in Him we live and move and have our being. Let us continually ask God to teach us all things in accordance to His Word, particularly to obey His commandments and abide by His Word. The Holy Spirit teaches us the Word of God, as seen in John 14:26, But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you how to walk with God in all you do and to lean on God, not your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5–6 says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

May God bless you as He teaches you and perfects you in your walk with Him.

    Judgment Will Come

I pray that your eyes and ears be open to get the revelation of God’s Word. Amen. The wicked may prosper, but they will not go unpunished. Judgment is not immediate. People tend to disobey God at will, even in the church. Today’s words are basically Jesus’ words and not mine. I pray it blesses you, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Matthew 13:24–30 says, Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The Kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares (weed) among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? From whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Matthew 13:37–42 says, He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the Kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his Kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

At this point, ask yourself, Which kingdom is He talking about in verse 41?

Ecclesiastes 8:11 says, Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Every man and woman shall die and then face judgment. Be wise now while you can. If you are born again, watch and pray. Do not envy the wicked. Their punishment will come. If you are not born again, why not repent today and give your life to Jesus? Accept Him as your Lord and Savior.

Say this prayer: That God who is able will keep you till the end and your name will be in the Book of Life in Jesus’ name. Amen

    True Joy

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

    —Ecclesiastes 3:11

    ***

Isn’t it strange how one feels that, if he or she could just only get married, receive that new job or salary increase, have a child, build his or her own home, start his or her own business, change location for a brighter future, and so forth, that he or she would attain true joy? People seek for a perfect solution to their most pressing problems, and when they get the perfect solution, they start looking for another thing desperately.

Have you felt like that? Have you felt that finally acquiring that thing you so desperately wanted hasn’t made all things perfect? You still haven’t found true joy? One of the reasons is because as the verse above states, God has planted eternity in man’s heart, and only He is eternity that can fill it. He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.

In Psalm 138:8, it is written that the Lord perfects that which concerns us. The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. In Psalm 57:2, it is written that God performs all things for us. I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me. Jesus is the only one who can make all things perfect in one’s life for He is the all-wise God, all-knowing God.

When you seek Jesus and only Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30), then Jesus will fill your heart. And you can find contentment, peace, joy, and so forth, and all other things will be added unto you (Matt. 6:33).

From this day forward, begin to seek Jesus in all you do so grace and peace will be multiplied unto you. That’s when you’ll begin to experience true joy and things will be beautiful in its own time. God bless you.

    Seeking the Lord

And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper.

    —2 Chronicles 26:5

    ***

King Uzziah was a great king who prospered as long as he sought the Lord. Remember that Revelation 1:6 tells us that God has made us kings. As kings, we have to seek the Lord at all times as Matthew 6:33 tells us, and those who seek shall find, according to Matthew 7:7.

At a certain point in time, Uzziah felt he could do things on his own, and he crashed mightily. He had leprosy until his death. 2 Chronicles 26:21 says, "And Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day
