It includes a story line throughout the book about the creatures found within this tree, each page introduces a new creature with facts and illustrations. Every new creature is doubled in number of population of the creature before it. Example: It begins with one Almendro tree, then talks about the two great green macaws that inhabit it, and next the four keel-billed toucans. It includes icon pictures to the right to help students visualize the numbers up to 1,024 leaf cutter ants.
