Book Abstract
Dobbs charges that the Bush and Clinton administrations, along with corporate America and a Congress that is thoroughly beholden to special interest groups and lobbyists, have been waging a war against the middle class. He asserts that the working men and women of America have been abandoned by the administration’s trade and immigration policies, which favor big business and promote outsourcing and off shoring. He faults the administrations for neglecting our health care system, leaving many working Americans uninsured, and neglecting our educational system, which is falling behind globally and leaving U.S. workers unprepared to face international competition and the challenges of high technology. Dobbs calls for wide ranging reforms on trade policy, business, immigration, education, and health care and urges Americans to withdraw support from the parties that don’t represent their
