    First-Time College fresh-person or returning back to college to empowering yourself, balancing school and life can be difficult. One of the first things on Things to do list is find housing either on-campus or off campus. Then essentials you need for dorm or apartment. There is a list of things student may need in this book.

    Other than studies, most important part of planning in student living at dorm or apartment is eating right, hungry student may have difficult to concentrate on his/her studies. Most Students tend to rely on fast food and pizza joints for easy meal, which can be very expensive; cooking at dorm and apartment not only save monies but also a student can get nutritious meals and verity in their diet. It is very okay to eat out once in a while.

    Learning to feed yourself economically is definitely a valuable survival skill, even If you have minimal cooking facilities and minimal cooking skills. This book has 81 recipes , difficulty to make meals in book are very easy to easy, most of them are no cook or/and dishes can be prepared in microwave with very reasonable time.

    Eating well could be affordable. Also the microwaveable stuff isn't really faster than cooking. Learning how to grocery shop on a budget and feed self well do not have to be hard! it is not like advanced calculus. But again, college is a great time to start figuring that out.

    Recipes are carefully designed to keep food budget between $125 to $150 a month with verity of dishes and nutrition.

    This book will teach basic recipes, which can help enormously to first time college fresh-person or a person who is on budget or starting to learn to cook.

    Oats

    Basic Overnight Oats – No cook

    Ingredients:

    1 cup milk

    ½ cup rolled oats

    1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

    1 tablespoon liquid sweetener (maple syrup, honey, or agave work)

    1 pinch salt

    Directions:

    1.Put all the ingredients in a mason jar, or any jar with a cover, and shake until the ingredients are throughly combined.

    2.Leave in the fridge overnight or 6-8 hours

    3. Enjoy in the morning

    Basic Oat meal

    Ingredients

    ½ cup quick-cooking oats

    1 cup milk or water

    Dash of salt or sugar

    Direction

    In a medium microwave-safe bowl combine 1 cup water, 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats, and a dash of salt. Microwave on 100 percent power (high) for 1-1/2 to 2 minutes. Stir before serving

    Egg

    Caution: Do not boil egg in microwave. There are some microwave egg boilers available.

    Scrambled eggs

    Ingredients

    2 or 3 eggs

    1 teaspoon butter

    Salt and pepper to taste

    1 tbsp. each chopped chives or scallion (green onion) (optional)

    Grated Romano or Parmesan cheese (optional)

    1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

    Direction

    In 2 1/2 cup microwaveable mixing bowl microwave butter on high (100%) for 30 seconds, until melted. Using a wire whisk, in separate small mixing bowl beat together remaining ingredients; add to butter in mixing bowl. Cover with vented plastic wrap and microwave on medium-high (70%) for 2 1/2 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking. Microwave on low (30%) for 30 seconds. Let stand for 1 minute. Enjoy.
