Why it is important for you to treat trading as a business
Investing and trading is a business. The business of making money with money and should be treated as such. In any business you have to work, whether you are the owner or you work for someone. You have to put in the time if you want to drive your own money train to the bank every day.
Hobby and part-time investors and traders are rarely successful in this business. It requires a great amount of time and mental stability to do it successfully and be consistently profitable on a daily basis. People trying to do it part-time are the ones paying those of us who do it for a business.
One of the biggest errors brand new people that come into this business make is not to treat it as a business. This causes them problems right from the start. They think that the only way for them to be happy is to make money. How about the opposite of that, how about not losing a lot of money? That’s what makes me happy. I do this by having a rule based plan to work in the market with my money.
This business is no joke. I always say there are people in the live market who will walk over dead bodies to get paid and make money so make no mistake they are in there to take all of your money. They see you, they know what mistakes you are going to make over and over and over again. This is how they get paid from the sheeple of the herd. Who are the sheeple of the herd you ask? That would be you the retail trader who has no idea what you are doing and working in
