Chapter One
The life of a nerd is not actually easy. People don't take you seriously even if you bite your lip to prove you point.
I, myself, am a nerd. Glasses hide my eyes and my long hair hides my face. I even wear my fucking grandfather's clothes when he's my age and trust me when I say that they are really stupid. Though it suits me fine.
Nobody notices me much. Why would they? Hanging out with the school's freak? That would surely earn someone rotten tomatoes on their damn pretty faced.
One more tinny tiny information. I'm gay and that alone earns me a large 'I'M A FUCKING FREAK!' sign on my forehead.
My school is generally homophobic. A glance at me makes them do a sign of the cross and a contact with my skin makes them run to the church and wash in holy water.
The people here are really stupid. Well, definitely for me. How could they make a very big deal with my sexuality when they themselves do more sinful things like having sex with random people? How sick is that? And they think I'm dirty.
Anyways, my patents are the same. They never glance, talk, nor sit with me. They only leave a couple of bills on the table every morning and leave early for work. So, I don't see them much.
I'm not complaining, really. If they don't want me, so be it. Though, I really miss the time when we are still a small happy family- the time when they still don't know about my sexuality.
Ha! At least with the amount of money they leave me every morning, I can now say I'm quite rich. I'm not bracing or anything, I'm just saying that I'm quite rich for a minor. I already have my own bank account and with that, I daily deposit almost all my parents left to me.
I didn't come out voluntarily. It just happened. I once have a friend or two at school and I'm quite content. I never revealed my sexuality cause I know how homophobic my school is.
I have this minor crush with one of my classmates, Jackson. Tall, muscled, and handsome. He's the basketball team captain of our school.
I'm not that attracted to him. I just interested in him. He's not that approachable so I never tried talking to him besides, why would someone like him talk to a loser like me?
Then one day, I happen to gone by the guy's locker room and there he is, naked with only his underwear on. He's got a very nice body if I may add. He's busy changing his clothes so he didn't notice me. I myself didn't notice me staring lustfully as him. Gosh, I literally drilled at the sight of his body.
Then the unimaginable happened, something flashed. I immediately woke up from my slumber and saw Kevin, the school paper photographer, grinning at his camera. I don't need to think to know what he's looking at.
What the fuck!
I heard Jackson said and walked towards Kevin with a dark look. He harshly took the camera from Kevin's hands and when he looked at it, a darker look was on his face. He looked at me and throw daggers with his glare. Good Lord, if I'm able to get out of this situation, I promised I'll donate my whole allowance for the week to the church but it seems God really does not like material promises because I heard Jackson angrily say, Damn you, fag!
and seemed to have tried to come after me if only Kevin didn't stop him.
I fearfully ran out from the room and immediately went home. I cried my eyes out that night didn't answer my parents' concerned questions.
The next day, I went yo school with a hideous eyebag. I immediately noticed how the students reacted when they saw me. They gasped and ran away like a demon is after them. I assumed I might have looked really bad for them to ran away like that.
All my questions were answered when I went to the library to borrow a new book and return the old one I got a day before. The librarian looked at me coldly and I wondered what I did to earn that gaze.
I pushed aside all my doubts and went to look for a book. I happen to walk beside the newspaper's rack and a single article caught my attention. I immediately took the paper from the rack and read the title of the article in red bold letters saying, THE DEVIL'S SPAWN FOUND ITS TARGET!!
Below the title is a colored photo of the locker room with me staring at the naked form of Jackson.
We could have been presumed to be just talking but the expression on my face betrayed it all. I'm clearly caught drooling at the basketball
