Hi Everyone, I was born in South Australia but spent most of my childhood in Victoria. The Tallyman was my first short story, and I wrote it simply because I love Stephen King. I wanted to honor and thank him for the amazing journeys I've traveled reading his books throughout the years. The Tallyman is a bit of fun and directed to other King fans who will understand the content. The Old Railway Tunnel was my second short story. Thomas had a tale to tell and he was so demanding, I wrote the first draft in one sitting. Immediately after finishing, Laura Cooper wanted a turn, so I wrote Way to Go. Stygian River... is one of those tales I was told while living in Italy in my twenties, which the storyteller 'swore' the stories were all true..:) Hoodie Black is my first full-length novel. A supernatural thriller. It confirms the notion that, 'some doors should never be opened.' and answers the questions to death, crime, time and are angels as flawed as humans. Currently, I live in Victoria. In a small county town with my four border collies, Trixie, Snow, Benson, and Tessa. I'd like to believe, I live my life in-between this world and another... viewing daily events from a dream that seems real but may, in fact, be an illusion. And I wonder, sometimes, when writing the visions I see in my head. Fantasizing about other worlds with its incredible characters. And it often leaves me questioning....Is this my imagination? Or are the events real? Imagination may just be, someone tapping into true events. Stories that happened in a parallel world. Thanks for visiting. Catherine Stepancic - C.S. Caspar

Thomas smiled as he stared out his bedroom window. Outside it was dry, and the sun was shining—the first Saturday for a month that it hadn't rained. The sky was a perfect azure blue, and for Thomas, it looked ideal for a little target practice.

Finally! He thought. His fourteenth birthday had been on Thursday, and his parents had gifted him the bow and arrows he had begged for since joining the archery class at school, way back when he was ten. In four years, he had become very good at the sport.

Thomas dreamed of becoming an Olympic champion, and one day winning gold. He pulled on his blue jeans and then slipped his favorite black T-shirt over his head. Catching sight of the wooden shelf fixed to the wall—the one his father installed recently above the desk, specifically to display the trophies and ribbons Thomas had won in small school competitions.

Winning the Olympic gold medal in archery was his life's dream. He literally dreamed about it all the time. Sometimes, when he was alone, he even looked at himself in the mirror, imagining the day he won the gold. To his reflection, he often mimicked the proud moment, acting out the scene when he accepted his medal. Thomas always finished the imaginary scene by nodding to the crowd, one arm folded across his middle, bowing, and offering hand waves to all.

Thomas was still smiling as he looked at the bow and arrows, complete with matching quiver. They lay on his desk: a physical reflection of his dream. His smile widened when he remembered his birthday, and the moment he had seen the package covered in shiny blue wrapping paper. The gift had been sitting on the kitchen table waiting for him to come down from his bedroom that morning and find it.

However, Thomas already knew the mystery hiding under the wrapping; his parents had promised. A shiny blue recurve bow with matching quiver and arrows. The recurve, is a bow with the tips curved away from the archer, standard equipment for the Olympics. But what Thomas liked most was… it was the take-down bow, and he was going to take it down, that was for sure—take down the Olympic gold medal. The arrows, like the bow, were of strong carbon fiber; they sported broad heads, and the fletching was three sharp plastic
