INTRODUCTION
Am I in the Right Place?
If you are reading this e-book, you definitely are! This is THEE Early Childhood Education Entrepreneur’s Step-By-Step Guide to Becoming Your Own ECE Consultant.
No one knew in January-March of 2014 that I was working on this e-book, but it seemed that a lot of people wanted tidbits of information about becoming their own consultant, or if they already were one, how to market, or price, and so forth. The information contained herein this e-book is worth hundreds, upon hundreds of dollars. There is no need for me to be greedy, or stuck-up in my knowledge and accomplishments; rather, it is my hope to be known for the good that I am creating in my field. I truly believe that the more we give to others, the more that we live a life of purpose. My purpose right now is to begin you on this journey called Beyourownececonsultant.
I am going to ‘unleash’ everything that I know about being an ECE consultant, which is what I have been for the past eleven years. I will turn YOUR knowledge and YOUR experience in early childhood education into being an expert in whatever you are really passionate about. You may have some special talent that you want to share with the world, and I am going to teach you STEP-BY-STEP how to do that and be successful.
I want you to get the freedom to work for yourself. Ever since I have been a consultant, that is what I absolutely have enjoyed, and it has allowed me to do a lot of things. I have two children (actually, now teenagers). Brandon is 18 and Lauren is 15, but over the last eleven years, they were little people who were in two different schools, and needed a lot of attention…parent teacher conferences, book fairs, school events, illnesses, furloughed days off, more illnesses, after school activities…having the freedom as an early childhood education consultant allowed me to give them a better childhood, because I could be there for those important things. That alone was priceless. I believe you are reading this e-book, because you desire what I desire for you… the freedom to work for yourself.
Besides the fact that you have an incredible passion for early childhood education, you also need some help and guidance in achieving that. I have the exact steps, processes and tools to take you by the hand and turn what you already know in to a professional ECE consulting business that sells 24/7. That’s right.
One of the biggest frustrations that I’ve heard is Hey Christine, how can I make money sharing what I know?

In truth, there is a triumvirate (The Big 3) of things you really need to know to take on this endeavor to being your own entrepreneurial consultant.
EXPERIENCE, RESOURCES and MARKETING.
All of the experiences that you have had in tandem with all of the resources that you could possibly create on those things that you know and have experienced, and of course, top-notch-marketing. I know what you’re thinking…I’m a little overwhelmed by one or more of those things. I completely understand. But, do not worry about it. There are so many people out there who can give you bad advice, but you’re not going to be one of them, because you’re here with me. I don’t want this to be massively confusing for you because CONFUSION IS VERY BAD.
That’s why I have made this about as easy as it can possibly get. When I say that I’m going to take you by the hand, and give you step-by-step instructions on how to be your own entrepreneurial ECE consultant in early childhood education, I really, really, really mean it.
So, let’s talk about who you are. Perhaps you are already an ECE consultant out there and you’ve been busting your butt. I know what that’s like. That’s nerve wracking to say the least. You’re out there, you’re busting your hump, creating resources, you’re trying to build a client list of people who love you and trust you, and that’s all very, very important…but the whole income aspect can be very overwhelming when you do it that way. That’s what I call ‘boots-on-the-ground thinking’ (we’re going to get into boots-on-the-ground thinking later). So tell me this….
You think to yourself, "What should I do? I have all of this experience in ECE and I can create all of these resources, but the marketing is killing me. I need to find a better way to work. What should I do?? What are others out there doing that I’m not doing that’s making them so successful??"
Should you…create an information product? "Something I can sell, and if I do, what would that be?"
Should you…create a webinar? "Maybe I can get people to pay for an hour and listen to me talk about what I know. Well, wait a minute. How the heck do you do that?"
Should you…be advertising? "Myself and what I do in NAEYC online? Or in their magazine? Should I be going to trade shows and events and conferences? How much does that cost? "
Should you…be offering a bunch of trainings? How about all over the county where I live?
Should you…be offering coaching services? What if I go all over the place, from school, to school, to school offering my services to coach them? What about a one-on-one coaching service or a group coaching service?
YIKES! There are so many different things that you could probably offer to ‘up the ante’ in terms of your income. But perhaps more important than that, you’re probably thinking…What can I create and provide that I’m actually proud of and keep clients asking me for more? I don’t want you to lose your integrity. In fact, your integrity is the thing that is going to carry you through this and help make the money for you that you imagine you would. But for right now, you are not going to get overwhelmed. See that ‘YIKES!’ up there? That’s probably how you’re feeling. If this sounds like you, again I guarantee you are in the right place.
So, let me tell you a bit about myself. I started consulting in the year 2003. I had only one training, I had a bunch of business cards from Vista Print…and I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I had no word of mouth, and no one knew who the heck I was. I didn’t have any REAL early childhood education connections other than the people that
