Head contains hair on outside and brain inside. Here, besides different hair problems, I have provided home remedies for headache too.

    Baldness

    * Grind 1 tablespoon mulethi in 1 cup with few shreds of kesar. Apply this paste on bald patches at

    Bed times regularly.

    * Grind methi dana with water and apply on the head. Leave for at least 40 minutes before washing. Do it every morning for a month.

    * Boil 1 cup sarson ka tel with 4 tablespoon heena leaves. Filter and bottle. Massage on the bald patches regularly.

    * Grind the remains of tobacco smoked in a hookah and add to boiling mustard oil. Cool and store. Massage on the patch regularly.

    * Rub on this scalp 1 teaspoon oil in which raw mangoes have been preserved for over one year. Repeat this treatment frequently.

    Dandruff

    * Boil a handful of neems leaves in 4 cup of water. After cooling and filtering use it for rinsing hair.

    * Soak 2 tablespoon methi dana in water overnight. In the morning grind into a fine paste. Apply all over scalp and leave for ½ an hour. Wash with shikakai or mild shampoo.

    Hair Dullness and Coarseness

    * Grind fresh methi leaves to a paste and apply the paste over the scalp before the bath.

    * Hair Falling

    * Take a handful of neem leaves and boil them in 4 cups of water. After cooling and filtering, use the decoction to make hair grow faster.

    * Apply methi ground with some water and paste on the head. Allow to soak at least for 40 minutes before washing. Use every morning for a month.

    * Mix equal quantities of dried curry patta, nimbu ka chhilka, shikakai, methi dana. Grind them finaly. Store and use as a substitute for soap or shampoo.

    Grey Hair

    * Cut a lemon to half and rub lemon juice into the scalp well. Wash off after it turns dry.

    * Soak shredded adrak in honey. Eat a spoonful every morning.

    * Grind 1 tablespoon each, pulp of amla and lime juice. Massage it into the hair before going to bed. Wash it next morning.

    Hair Thinning

    * Wash your hair in 1 cup of coconut milk twice a week for a few months.

    Head Heaviness

    * Grind the fresh amla fruits into a fine paste and apply on affected parts.

    * Grind 2 to 3 laung into a fine paste along with ½ teaspoon sonth and apply on nose, forehead etc.

    Headache

    * Roast some ajwain on a tawa. Tie it in a muslin cloth and sniff frequently.

    * Grind 10-15 tulsi leaves with 4 laung and 1 teaspoon sonth into a paste and apply.

    * A paste made of sonth with a little water or milk applied to the forehead also gives relief.

    * A ripe apple, after removing the upper rind and the inner hard portion, should be taken with a little salt every morning on an empty stomach. Continue for a week. This yields good results even in case of chronic headache.

    * Mix 1 tea spoon finely ground dalchini in 1 teaspoon water and apply on the forehead. It is very effective in headache due to exposure to cold-air.

    * Mix 8-10 tulsi leaves, 1/2 inches piece adrak, 7 saboot kali mirch powdered coarsely with 1 large cup (200 ml) water. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and keep for 2-3 minutes. Strain, add boiled milk, sugar and drink warm. Lie down covering yourself with a sheet for 5-10 minutes. It is very helpful in headaches, cold, indigestion. Drink 2-3 times a day. For children reduce the quantity to half.

    Lice

    * Grind 7 to 8 badam kernls with 1 to 2 teaspoon lime juice and apply on the hair.

    * Grind the seeds of neem into a fine powder and mix in little groundnut oil. Apply to the scalp. Allow

it to remain overnight. Wash off next morning.

Mix a teaspoon lime juice with 1 teaspoon lahsun paste and apply on the head.

    2. Stomach Disorders

Stomach is the main functioning part of our digestive system. If our food is not digested properly, several diseases can occur, out of which flatulence, acidity and constipation is the main disorders.

    Acidity

    * Drink coconut water 3-4 times a day.

    * Have a plateful of tarbooz and/or kheera every hour.

    * Take a tiny piece of gur every hour. Just keep it in the mouth and slowly sucked it till acidity subsides.

    * Harad juice 1-2 teaspoon daily is very effective in controlling acidity. The juice can be mixed with an equal amount of amla juice for better result. To take out juice grate amla and squeeze the pulp through a clean muslin cloth.

    * Chewing a piece of harad is an age old remedy.

    Belching

    * Grind 2 teaspoon each ajwain and adrak into a fine powder. Add a little Kala namak. Take 1 teaspoon of this mixture with 1 cup warm water frequently.

    Constipation

    * Simply chew a few mulethi sticks. One of its many properties is that it is a natural laxative.

    * Take a hot glass of water with 1 teaspoon honey and juice of a lemon after leaving the bed in the morning.

    * Drink one litre (4 glasses) of water after leaving the bed in the morning.

    * Soak 6-8 khajoor in a cup of water at night. Churn in the mixer in the morning and drink early in the morning.

    * Consume approx. 250-300 gm fresh grapes every day. When grapes are not in the season, soak 12-15 kishmish in water and have them. Raisins should be soaked for 24-48 hours and eaten early in the morning. The water in which they are soaked should also be drunk.

    For Small Children

    * Soak 6-8 kishmish in hot water depending on age. When cool, crush well and strain. When given routinely even to little infants, it helps to regulate bowel movement (however care should be taken so as not to give too much otherwise the child might get loose motions).

    * Whole wheat flour should used and processed foods (maida, cheese, confectionery) should be avoided.

    * Consumption of 6-8 khoobani or 2-3 kheera or 1-2 bananas a day is also very useful.

    * Bulk forming vegetables like carrots, radish, spinach, cabbage or fibrous food should be consumed. Instead of juice always opt for eating the fruit.

    * Taking 2-3 teaspoon of isabgol in milk or warm water early in the morning or at bed times is very beneficial.

    * Mix ½ teaspoon honey in ½ cup warm water and have it 2-3 times a day.

    Diarrhoea

    * Drinking a strong cup of unsweetened black tea is very effective for stopping diarrhoea.

    * Combine 1 teaspoon each-powdered adrak, powdered jeera and powdered dalchini with honey and make into a thick paste. Take 1 teaspoon thrice daily.

    * Boil 1 teaspoon jeera in a glass of water. Add to it 1 teaspoon fresh juice of dhania leaves and a pinch of salt. Drink twice daily after meals for 2-3 days.
