About this ebook
Society pressures young adults to get married without providing the necessary tools to maintain a God-fearing marriage. My book, is filled with Bible scriptures and truths that will develop spiritually mature Christians prior to marriage. Most people are societally mature enough for marriage, but as Christians we should be aware of our spiritual maturity. Let the word of God be your guide.

25 Things You Should Know Prior to Getting Married - Candace Bell
I am inspired by the Bible Story of Ruth and Boaz.
The simple love story is key to understanding the plan of God, love, and marriage as revealed in the scriptures. So simple, yet so powerful when understood. The scriptural explanation of romance bears no resemblance to the worldly viewpoint of courtship and marriage. The story of Ruth is one of the most powerful love stories ever told. It is a testimony to the faithfulness and grace of God, who keeps His promises to mankind. The book of Ruth is a synopsis of marriage culture, a great love story, and a great lesson about the grace of God.
Boaz was perhaps the greatest husband in the Bible. He was a worker, a leader, an entrepreneur, a businessman, an agriculturist, and a brilliant lawyer. Most importantly, he was spiritually mature and the recipient of the blessings of God. Boaz is a believer in spiritual maturity by the time he meets Ruth. He is prosperous, a great leader, and an entrepreneur of a large estate. All Boaz had was due to the grace of God per the Plan of God. He applies Bible Doctrine in every area of his life every day. Boaz waited almost 40 years for his wife. His friends had probably been through several divorces by then, and their children had become adults. But, Boaz waited for God to provide.
The only other great marriage in the Bible that can compare to the marriage of Boaz and Ruth was the marriage of Abraham and Sarah. But Abraham and Sarah got married before they reached spiritual maturity; whereas, Boaz and Ruth waited until they had matured in the Spirit. How do I mature in the spirit you ask? Keep reading!
I pray after reading this book, you will grow spiritually in preparation for a God-fearing marriage. Each chapter is filled with Biblical principles necessary to move towards a spiritually mature relationship with God and your helpmate.
