Prologue
Don’t most stories start once upon a time on a dark, dark night, they do in fiction anyway. But this is not fiction or a fairytale told to frighten the gullible. During the course of this story there will be many introductions. I am maybe a biased narrator, I make no apologies for this. I’m too arrogant to make apologies to people so obviously beneath my notice as you.
The other thing you may notice about me is I get easily distracted and I digress, it is a fault of mine and should this happen during the telling of the story, please forgive me, bear with me and I will try and pick up the thread somewhere along the line.

But what am I saying if you don’t believe in leprechauns you won’t believe in elves either.
But just because something is hidden doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. It just means it’s all the more pissed off when it’s discovered. But where are my manners. I’ve forgotten to introduce myself. You can call me Hugh, Hugh the talking sword.

Not your cuddly, got a problem I’ll help you type, but your I’ll kick your ass if you don’t leave me alone type. Yeah, yeah I know what I say next will sound cliché but Edgar Vincent Ivan Lockwood wanted to achieve world domination.
He had no children. He said
