8 This book of the law shall be on your lips, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may obey all that is written in it: then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.

    Joshua 1

    Bible Verses

    Genesis 24

61 And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man: and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way. 62 And Isaac came from the way of Beer-lahai-roi; for he dwelt in the land of the South. 63 And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, there were camels coming.64 And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she alighted from the camel. 65 And she said to the servant, What man is this that walks in the field to meet us? And the servant said, It is my master: and she took her veil, and covered herself. 66 And the servant told Isaac all the things that he had done. 67 And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her. And Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.

    Genesis 29

16 And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel. 17 And Leah’s eyes were tender; but Rachel was beautiful and well favored. 18 And Jacob loved Rachel; and he said, I will serve you seven years for Rachel your younger daughter. 19 And Laban said, It is better that I give her to you, than that I should give her to another man: abide with me. 20 And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed to him but a few days, for the love he had to her.

21 And Jacob said to Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her. 22 And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast. 23 And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto her. 24 And Laban gave Zilpah his handmaid to his daughter Leah for a handmaid. 25 And it came to pass in the morning that, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this you have done to me? Did not I serve with you for Rachel? Have you beguiled me? 26 And Laban said, It is not so done in our place, to give the younger before the first-born. 27 Fulfill the week of this one, and we will give you the other also for the service which you shall serve with me yet seven more years. 28 And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife. 29 And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her handmaid. 30 And he went in also to Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven more years.

31 And the Lord saw that Leah was hated, and he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren. 32 And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben; for she said, Because the Lord has looked upon my affliction; for now my husband will love me. 33 And she conceived again, and bare a son: and said, Because the Lord has heard that I am hated, he has therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon. 34 And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined to me, because I have borne him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi. 35 And she conceived again, and bore a son: and she said, This time will I praise the Lord: therefore she called his name Judah; and she left off bearing.

    Exodus 20

3 You shall have no other gods before me. 4 You shall not make a graven image, nor any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of them that hate me, 6 and showing loving kindness to thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

    Leviticus 19

17 You shall not hate your brother in your heart: you shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. 18 You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am God.

33 And if a stranger sojourn with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. 34 The stranger that sojourns with you shall be to you as the home-born among you, and you shall love him
