Martha Johnson has retired from an executive career in public and private organizations. She served in both the Clinton and Obama Administrations and was appointed to two commissions with the British Government. Her career additionally include positions in the IT, architecture, strategic consulting, and auto industries. Johnson has delivered over 50 public speeches on topics including sustainability, leadership, and government effectiveness. She has been featured repeatedly in the press and has testified before the US Congress. Beyond her professional life, Johnson has been the Clerk of Session and choir member at the First Presbyterian Church of Annapolis, MD. She is an Honorary Life Member of Presbyterian Women and has published a book on youth worship, Awesome Youth Sundays. Johnson was graduated with a BA from Oberlin College and an MBA from the Yale University School of Management. She is married and has two adult children. In Our Midst is her first novel.
