INTRODUCTION
Even in a disconnected world full of technology, people communicate face-to-face with other human beings every day of their lives. Being able to successfully convey thoughts, feelings, ideas, and goals is important with personal and business relationships.
In fact, any time you’re with someone you are communicating -- even if it’s non-verbally -- as your body language communicates what is going on internally. Your posture, stance, attitude, every muscle in your face, and your eyes give them clues as to whether you’re being combative, confrontational, attentive, deep in thought, or protective of your space. Even the tone of your voice can be a dead giveaway if it’s strident, calm, gentle, deep, forceful, seductive, or authoritarian.
However, not understanding how to utilize your body movements and your verbal and internal energy to communicate effectively can cause miscommunication, especially during times of conflict.
Through effective communication people make friends, find a mate, complete group projects at school, get travel directions, and get their work done
